I landed here and was met with an angry old man that has no business dealing with the public. Very high fuel prices and no willingness to help in any way. I took off and fueled at Orange County Airport (MGJ), where it was much nicer and also had some good food. Oh, and cheaper fuel!

Response from Robert Spearing, Randall Airport
I must say that I'm appalled by the comments left on this page. Obviously, they're emotionally fueled, subjective in nature, and in complete violation of the rules pertaining to Airnav's "fair objective comment practices." The FAR's are pretty specific about what information a pilot is to familiarize him/herself with before every flight outside the vicinity of an airport. The Airport/Facility Directory clearly states that Randall Airport is unattended. It also states that fuel is unavailable to the public. Why someone might touch down at 06N expecting these services is beyond me. What Randall does offer to the public is as follows: Two single engine piston flight schools, one hot air balloon school that also offers balloon rides (with champaign toast), the busiest glider school in the North East, and a colorful assortment of many different types of flying machines.

I reiterate prior comments about turning on the runway lights, that is, the airport operator is unresponsive to numerous requests to have the lights turned on and will not answer the phone or return phone calls. His reputation for arrogance and unfriendliness has become legendary throughout the county; indeed, he has driven dozens of pilots away from this "public use" airport as he uses your tax dollars to build his own private kingdom. Considering the vast amount of tax dollars that the Feds have pumped into this place, this situation is absurd.
