This is a nice clean country airport with easy access. I stopped in for fuel and lunch with a friend. The fuel is self-service which is just fine. I have been here a few times and it has never been busy. I'll come back.

Not the friendliest place for me. Landed with mechanical trouble and no help was offered other than a student pilot that was training there. Airport mgr. left without asking if I needed a ride to motel. If the student had not waited a few min then my 5-year-old son and I would have been walking to motel!!

AirNav was reporting $3.60 a gallon on this day (01/11/2010), so I dropped in for some fuel. Actual price was $3.729 a gallon and nobody was around to talk to about the discrepancy. Otherwise a good quick fuel stop.

Very friendly airport, and the new FBO is clean and sparkling. Airport manager Brett Curenton was onsite, helped me secure oil for my plane and even loaned me a funnel. Lots of history to this airport and surrounding area. Very enjoyable experience.
