Best Chicken and Dumplings in the South! Loved the Apple Strudel as well, I had to recalculate weight and baggage after all the good eating!

This unattended airport has one great attraction...Pickett House! Family-style food, all you can eat, home-cookin'. If you call they will come pick you up and return you to the airport, no charge. (Tip appreciated by the driver, who is likely a waitperson, as they usually use their own auto.) My wife and I look for excuses to fly to the area just so we can eat at Pickett House.

Another reason to utilize AirNav, but I'm afraid now it's too late. Diverted to Tyler County for severe hunger pains. I needed to eat badly, and I honestly couldn't fly all the way to Houston. I actually landed and walked to town for something to eat. Almost walked back, but someone pulled over and asked my destination then gave me a quick five-minute ride to the airport. Next time, I'll call. Perhaps a sign indicating where I can grab a bite?
