Another reason to utilize AirNav, but I'm afraid now it's too late. Diverted to Tyler County for severe hunger pains. I needed to eat badly, and I honestly couldn't fly all the way to Houston. I actually landed and walked to town for something to eat. Almost walked back, but someone pulled over and asked my destination then gave me a quick five-minute ride to the airport. Next time, I'll call. Perhaps a sign indicating where I can grab a bite?

Pickett House has excellent quality food. It features excellent fried chicken and mashed potatoes; veggies and delicious desserts served boarding house style. Be sure you do a weight and balance check after eating because it is an ALL YOU CAN EAT FORMAT! After dinner visit the Heritage village. Plan on it being open on weekends only during Fall and Winter. Call for a free ride from and to the airport upon arrival.
