John and his staff were friendly and helpful. I got the impression they would drop everything and help you out in any way they could, a trait that is becoming rare. They stock many of the sectionals and instrument procedures, and have an active maintenance facility and flight training.

Neat airport. Landing north is over a very high stand of trees on short final. Enterprise was only rental car operation and they were very late. Suggest calling several times (more than you think you need to) before and after arrival. Next time I will land south and t/o north if possible. Good FBO and great town!

Beware of fuel prices here! They don't add the tax or the tie down fee of $5.00 they charge regardless of whether you buy fuel or not. My $4.39 per gallon gas actually cost me $4.86 per gallon.

Very nice little airport! Hard to locate coming from the east because of a line of trees that parallels the runway. Note the runway number change: 15-33, rather than what is published elsewhere (14-32). Charming FBO from the barnstorming era, with clean restroom and computer weather. The Aerolina staff is very friendly and helpful. 100LL is pumped from their truck tanker. No courtesy car but there is a bus stop right across the street (hourly). Taxi to downtown Hendersonville was fast, $12 each way. Lots of hotels but none seem to have shuttle service.

I was delivering a Mooney from New York to San Antonio and flew into Hendersonville trying to escape the massive snowstorm and cold air mass. I asked John to plug in the engine heater in the morning. John saw that Hendersonville temperatures were going to plummet so he went one better and put it on a 4 a.m. timer and added cowl blankets and another cowl heater. Outstanding Service! Good call since the temps fell below 10 deg F. He even serviced it with a quart of oil I bought that he had warmed up in the office. Makes me wish Hendersonville were my home base!

What a great airport. Almost like going back in time. Service is outstanding and prompt. Tie-down is $5 a night fuel or no. But, they put the aircraft on tie down for me AND tied it down with new nylon line. Well worth the slight charge. The Air Museum on the field is worth exploring. Wish I had been able to spend more time roaming around the field. But I will return. If you plane to fly at night, get a brief from Aerolina or a local pilot. The runway lights are located along the grass strip, which also has a hard surface strip along one side, kinda.

Flew into 0A7 as an alternate to Ashville (AVL). Tie down fee was $5.00/night vs. $20.00/night at AVL. Runway and tie down area are in great shape. No self serve, so call ahead for times as they change with the seasons. Fifteen minute drive south of AVL down Interstate 26, and well worth it!

I learned to fly at Aerolina in 2000. Had a great time. Instruction was super. instructors #1. I still go back and rent 38 bravo and just fun fly for and hour or so. I love to just do tol's. Just a great airport. New asphalt runway looks great. Thanks.
