About ready to start my Annual trek from Houston to Caribou and I am looking forward to the stop in Bethel. If all goes well it will be my fifth or seventh stop there. I really enjoy this airport it's managed the way an airport should be. Clean restrooms, good coffee, friendly people (if anyone is around) and great gas prices make Bethel a must stop for me. I've been flying over sixty years and would rate this stop a heck of a lot better than most. Bethel keep up the good work!

The way GA should be. Everything you need - cheap fuel, tie downs, bathroom, warm lounge, computer, wifi, shovels and brooms for winter, electric for engine heaters etc. Kept simple and very cheap to free for all services. Stagecoach Shuttle provides excellent service to Sunday River for $20 each way. Maybe a little pricey but they're always prompt, courteous and helpful. Do wish the FREE MountainExplorer bus still made an airport stop, though. Maybe if enough of us request it?

We base about 50 miles away, but buy nearly all our gas at Bethel due to consistently low prices. Great little airport with good basic facilities. Interesting area as the climb out from RWY 32 can take you over Sunday River Skiway (if you can climb at least 1, 000 fpm).

Arrived in my Cirrus to visit friends. Great airport with clean facilities. Airport unattended but the SS fuel worked fine. Topped off the fuel tanks with 100LL at $5.05/gal, which is the lowest in the region.

This is one of the best places in the nation to stop for fuel--imagine this: attractively priced self-serve, comfortable, heated pilot room with self-serve food and drink. Clean and comfortable! Thanks for the great facility, Bethel! We always make this a stop for fuel.

Flew in for the cheap gas. Great little airport, wish we had a Small GA oriented airport in northern Virginia. It was unattended but the small office was open. They have an ASOS computer in the facility but I did not see a frequency on any publication, the winds can be strong and variable here. Restroom was clean and had industrial soap, which I needed due to what looked like dielectric grease all over the fuel grounding clip.

Great fuel stop on our way from Baltimore to Bangor. Saved $60 in fuel by stopping at 0B1. Nice compact terminal office with all the required facilities. My complements to the airport management for their contributions to keeping GA affordable!!

The FBO is compact and gives you what you need. Was delayed here on our cross country flight in a very slow plane and was happy to find coffee, a warm building and Internet. Thanks! The only thing missing was a car to look at the area and drive to the local restaurants.

What a fabulous GA facility that allows day trips (or longer) to the Bethel ski region! Many thanks to the town for its forethought in putting together this package for us, which has brought me back 2x this year for skiing when I otherwise would not have traveled there. My only wish was that the tiedown anchors weren't iced over, or that there were ropes already in place, because it's just impossible to tiedown otherwise.Response from Tony Milligan, Airport Coordinator / Asst. Manager, Town of Bethel (FBO) Thank you Scott for your very kind feedback! We strive to do the very best we can without having to keep an attendant on field. As such, during the winter months our tie-down anchors do often fill with snow or ice. If we were to leave the ropes on the apron, they would simply be cut off by the snow removal crews and destroyed. Therefore, our best solution was to provide shovels and an ice pick to help clear the tie-down anchors. Although most times, pilots are able to tie-down without the need to chop any ice, it is sometimes necessary (welcome to Maine winters!!) Having said that, we are pleased you chose Bethel Regional Airport and look forward to your next visit!

VERY nice unattended airport. Cute pilot's lounge that's unlocked and has everything you need - bathroom, snacks for cheap purchase, computers, heat :-) Great price on Avgas. Thanks.

I have used 0B1 many times each year to fly in to ski at Sunday River. This is a very well maintained airport. The 110V outlets are very handy for me to come back to a quick starting warm engine. Call Stage Coach taxi with your eta and they will be planeside when you land to whisk you to SR. $20 each way. I used to take the Explorer bus but they dropped the airport stop a few years ago.
