Headland airport is changing. Good self serve fuel prices, and now WALLS Aviation Maintenance is open on the field.

Stop at Headland to get gas on my way to BTR. The price was the best in the area and the self-service pump worked as advertised. The airport manager came out to the plane to see if we needed anything else and was pleasant to chat with. Will be back!

Wonderful airport with 24/7 fuel at the lowest price around. Stopped at Headland to get gas on the way to BTR, the pump was new and worked well. The airport manager came over and offered to help and was extremely nice. Wonderful airport, wonderful people and cheap fuel = I will be back!

After a year, they have fuel now. Lets see how well they keep the tank full and the pump working. Be sure to stop at KEUF if you need all FBO services and an open pilot lounge.

No Fuel!! Out of order sign on tank. Talked to resident pilot on the field who told me that there might not be fuel for a while until another vendor is found. Such a big airport to not have a functional FBO and such little activity. Seems like a waste of good space. May want to plan in advance before stopping for service here. There is no attendant on the field and could not get an answer from the phone numbers on the building.

Plan your fuel stop elsewhere like Eufaula (KEUF) or Dothan (KDHN) or Blackwell Field in Ozark if passing through this area of Alabama. Headland (0J6) is not selling fuel anymore until further notice or a new supplier is found. This airport is labeled as a FBO but there is nothing here but asphalt, hangars, some good pilots based here and a bathroom that may or may not be locked. Stop here if you just need to stretch your legs.
