LANDING FEE I would have thought these people would have wanted our buisness. Had lunch at the Gold Strike 3 hours and came back to find they want $15 for my landing fee. NOT GOING TO BE BACK TILL THEY FIX THIS PROBLEM

Did my solo cross country to Jean from Kl26. Bought fuel so did not get charged a tiedown fee. But the skydiving pilots did not communicate or follow any sort of proper protocol of any sort. Made departure a bit tricky figuring out where they where around the pattern. Or the area in general.

Flew into Jean today to have lunch and gamble a little. After reading on here and other blogs I found out that there is a $10 landing fee. I looked around for a drop box or something, none to be found. I even asked the guy in the sky diving office, he said there isn't one so don't worry about it! Ok, had lunch and came back to find a note on my plane telling me that they have my "N" number and instructing me to call them (Airport management) So I can pay them by mail. Not upset about the fee, but there should be a big sign and a box and something in writing in FAA pubs that let everyone know that there is a FEE. I will even give them a box it they need one.

A friend who used my airplane just got dinged with the $10.00 ramp/parking fee. Parked on a nearly empty ramp for approximately one hour. Spoke to Dennis Anderson with Henderson Executive Airport and was told that the sign is located in a glass case on the side of the building. It is not noted anywhere in the AFD. Had this been known before the flight, we would have left room in the tanks for the 20 gallon minimum purchase to waive the fee. I guess my friends $100 dollar hamburger run now cost $110 dollars. :+(

Tale of two experiences. The Good: Great strip with easy fuel and walking distance to adjacent casino to the field. The Bad: Ran into some rather rude folks from Extreme Skydiving, Las Vegas who I guess thinks they own the field and the terminal. Maybe they were having a bad day!!!!

This airport is very busy. Gliders and towplanes operate on the eastern runway, there's an aerobatic box to the west, and the landing area for the skydivers is to the south -> directly on the straight-in for Rwy 2L. Self-serve fuel was fine. Bathrooms were clean. However, the drop zone monitor was extremely rude on Unicom. I'm a skydiver myself so I understand his perspective... And I will not be coming back again.
