I have been involved with the aviation community for over 40 years and have flown into hundreds of FBO operations. Last year we flew our Cherokee Six into 14A (Lake Norman) to check out the area, Dwayne greeted us as a friend we had known for 20 years and within minutes we had a bunch of new GA friends. We were so impressed with the service and the people we now live here and moved our business to Lake Norman. Southern hospitality at its Best!

Landed Rwy 14, watch the high trees at the approach end. Tight maneuvering on taxiway and ramp, uphill/downhill slant. Great folks. Dwayne was right there when we stopped and cheerfully, in the cold, pulled the plane to the fuel area and topped it off, then pushed it back again. He's a very pleasant guy to talk with as were the other pilots hanging around. This is a very unique place and was fun to visit...You'll be glad you stopped.

Outstanding southern hospitality. Dwayne took excellent care of us, and our airplane. Courteous and polite. One of the nicest FBO agents we've ever dealt with. Thanks Dwayne!!

Nice place to land. Use RWY 14 for most operations. Fuel price does not match that listed ~ 5 cents higher. $10 for overnight parking even if you do fill up.

Super nice folks and service with a smile every time, I fly in and out of Lake Norman constantly and have always been more than satisfied with the service from Clint and Darlene. They always go the extra mile to make sure we have what we need. Race city aviation maintenance is also on the field, great guys, knowledgeable staff, lots of airplane stuff in stock and the equipment to support a range of aircraft. If it’s broke Glenn will fix it. Beware of the airport obstructions and familiarize yourself with the airport before attempting it at night.
