Be careful if you use the (very narrow) taxiway. There is a large fence post on the northerly side of the taxiway approximately mid-field that could potentially take out a low winged aircraft. Recommend just back taxiing on the runway rather than using the taxiway. Other than that they have a good fueling station and a very reasonable price for fuel.

Good fuel stop.

What a breath of fresh air! After dealing with another airport slightly to the South, that was totally inhospitable, I landed here and was greeted like a lost friend. Great fuel prices as well. I will definitely be back on my next visit to San Antonio. Many thanks to Ray and his wife.

This is a great place to stop for fuel. Took no time to fill up 50 gallons with the great flow that the pump has. Cheapest gas around. Friendly looking field. I landed and departed 30 and it was no problem. 100LL was 3.49/gal

We stopped at Kestrel today for fuel. Nobody there, the self-serve machine was first rate, and the price was $2.89...Quite a bargain these days. The hills and dips in the runway are interesting, as the previous commentator wrote, but it no issue getting in or out.
