The fuel is still $3.95/gal, which is unbelievable as it is just under $7/gal in Florida panhandle. The runway construction has come to a halt; hope they finish before they run out of money.

New runway is graded but not paved. Fuel system in new and worked well. Unattended pilots' lounge was accessible by code and was simple and comfortable.

Newberry has a new ASOS so you can use the lower local altimeter settings on the GPS approach. Fuel is still $3.80 but bring a tie-down if you plan to stay, only one available on the pavement, if it is occupied one must be prepared for "in the grass."

Landed here 12/7/07, fuel still $3.80. On my way to FLA from Ohio. I was forced down due to unexpected low ceilings in the area. Didn't catch their names, but wanted to thank the "father/son" duo who were annualing a Cessna, for offering a ride to a hotel. There is NOBODY around at this airport except these two, other than the contractors working on the new runway. The weather eventually got better and I was off, but I appreciated their concern at this desolate airport. (The son did a beautiful restoration on an old Cessna).

Newberry is under renovation, new runway - the old runway to become the taxiway, check notams for airport closure, I was fortunate to have the FSS briefer read ALL the notams on a final weather check to discover the airport was closed for the morning I intended to fly to 27J. This is long overdue upgrade at Newberry with longer runway and no TALL trees at end.

Stopped in for a midnight snack for my return trip. Plane really hungry for a C-150. Price as advertised refuel area well lit. Did have one problem with the pump, which was solved by re-setting the circuit breakers located on side of hangar near pumps. Runway condition better than described in the AF/D. We'll be back!

Fuel was up to a whopping $3.75/gal. I experienced no difficulty whatever with the pump and purchased all the W&B would allow, fuel at my next stop was $5.45/gal with my discount. A local says they are watching their fuel cost and as the price decreases so will their selling price. Time will tell.

Bought fuel on May 27th and price was $3.80/gal, not $3.30 as listed. Price needs to be updated. Otherwise all OK.

Excellent price on fuel, though the pump was temperamental. No one is at the field on a regular basis--I came in on a Wednesday AM, and was the only one on the field. Other comments on restrooms, etc are on target, but if one is on a long cross-country, may want to stop at a field that has some activity.

Stopped in today. Easy in, easy out self-service 100LL. An attendant even stopped by and asked if I was finding everything OK. Pleasant stop, good price. Recommended if you're in the area. There are decent restrooms and a Coke machine.

The listed phone number (803-321-2100) gets a receptionist for the county government, who knows absolutely nothing about the airport. She gave me another number, 803-276-6247, which was not answered. Finally reached someone at 803-321-2180, who was helpful and able to give me the information I needed (fuel availability, pricing, and hours).

After years of no fuel Newberry has installed an easy to use self service, and the price was unbelievable. There was a new attitude, clean restrooms, looks like Newberry is back on the aviation map.
