I was there on a Sunday Afternoon and Mike had the rental car ready for me on short notice. He was also incredibly helpful when my aircraft decided it didn't want to go back to Virginia. Helped me recharge my battery and was very nice. I will return. They recently had snowfall but you couldn't tell by how well it was removed from the Runway and taxiways.

On our way home we were met with unfriendly skies about 5 miles east of Garrett Co. We made a quick turn back to the airport. Upon landing we pulled into a tie-down spot literally a few steps from the terminal doors, very convenient. After checking the weather a decision was made to RON. Staff helped us with getting tied down, set us up with a rental car and pointed us in the direction of lodging. Upon returning to the airport we weren't yet sold on continuing on east, talked with staff that provided great knowledge and insight into the nearby terrain conditions. Based upon that talk and the slightly improved cloud conditions we decided to press on. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality and service. Next time we will make 2G4 an intended destination instead of an unplanned stop!

I stopped in for fuel and had to wait out a severe line of thunderstorms before heading home, was on the ground for 6 hours. The folks here are extremely friendly and helpful. Very nice terminal building. Would definitely stop again.

Out joyriding today. Went to Garrett County because I have never been there. The facility is very well kept. You can tell by the grounds that the people take great pride in it. It was an overcast day so there was not any activity. The fellow behind the desk was nice, answered all my questions and then I was off back home.

If you haven't been to Garrett County Airport in recent history, you're in for a treat. The runway has been completely reconstructed and includes a parallel taxiway. The runway still has a considerable upslope to the west. A new terminal and T-Hangars were part of the upgrade. I was able to rent a T-Hangar for $20 per night to house my Bonanza while skiing at the Wisp. I was able to rest easy during two days of strong winds and snow that are so prevalent in Garrett County during winter. Fuel price was attractive and service very good.

Nice little facility with low priced fuel we discovered after fog diverted us from our intended airport. Very friendly service. Because the crew car was out, we were loaned the mechanic's Ford to get lunch! Can't beat that.
