Just stopped in to Salem Airpark and have to say that the restaurant is the nicest looking airport restaurant I have ever been too. Also the owners are the nicest people you will ever meet. I certainly will be back soon.

From John Ruffo on 07-Nov-2007
Mike and the employees go out of there way to make you feel at home. I look forward to my next trip Salem Airpark. Thank you Mike and the entire crew for your hospitality.

From David Lucas on 15-Jul-2007
Even with low fuel prices, they still give A1 red carpet service. And share pizza! Now a regular fuel stop for us!

From John Sheakley on 25-Jun-2007
Unbelievable hospitality! Mike and his crew went way out of their way to accommodate me during the Races on the 22-24th!! All I needed was a space on the grass for my Mooney for the overnighter, and they gave an available hangar!! Talk about great people, very friendly and polite on the phone. You have to stop and at least take advantage of their fuel prices! A++++++++++++ Service!

I would highly recommend anyone traveling through the Salem area to make a stop at Salem Airpark. The airpark owners, Mike and Brenda are incredibly nice and helpful folks who went way out of their way to make my stay a pleasure. You can't beat the fuel prices either.

Owner, Mike Pidgeon and his family are one of those brightly shining stars in the GA airport universe. They have a dedication to offering the lowest fuel prices in Ohio. Yesterday's price was almost a full dollar under the average price across the NE Ohio region. It's refreshing to see old fashioned work ethic, a great sense of customer service and price sensitivity in contrast to the "get-rich-quick" mentality that is so pervasive in our world today. Can't wait for Mike's family-owned restaurant to open soon on the field. I will stop and spend my money here at every reasonable opportunity.

Greatest little airport I am aware of. GREAT fuel prices, friendly service and the owner is on site. He let me use his computer to file and check weather. Restaurant is coming and will make this an even better stop

From Richard Miller on 24-Apr-2007
Stopped here for fuel on a trip from MO to ME. Found it to be awesome in friendliness and one of the best fuel prices in the country. Restaurant and bed and breakfast on the field to be coming soon. I'll fly out of my way just to stop here again.

From Harvey Hood on 05-Jan-2007
The folks at Salem treated me like family; I can't wait until their new restaurant opens this spring.

From Robert Dumovic on 13-Nov-2006
With a Citabria, Super Decathlon, a Pitts S-2B, cheapest gas around, a restaurant and light sport manufacturing coming soon... You can't beat 38D's great people and service. If you're stopping by, say "Hi" to Ben and Jimmy.

From Dr. Raymond Najem on 17-Sep-2006
Had a recent problem and landed at Salem Airport. They were very helpful and friendly. Their fuel prices are the lowest in Ohio. Highly recommend 38D.

From Pat Griffin on 15-Sep-2006
What nice people and great service! Stopped en route from Philadelphia to South Bend for low fuel price, were greeted by owners' puppy and cherry cider. Restaurant should be complete by spring when we visit again.

From Doug Olmstead on 27-Aug-2006
I again have to echo the comments made by the other guests to this airport. I wish my home airport had this level of service and dedication to general aviation. Keep up the great work!! You can use this airport without reservation.

From Greg Barnhard on 23-Aug-2006
At first, I picked this airport because of its cheap fuel. Next time I go back to 38D, it'll be because of both the cheap fuel and the friendly hospitality. Everybody there was a big help! You can't beat $3.69/gallon and friendly people willing to fill it up for you! The plans that are in the works for this airport will make it a great alternatie to YNG! If I remember correctly: new FBO/restaurant, planned bed/breakfast. I think this place will be thriving within the next year! I'll definitely be back! Thanks for the help!

From Robert Wilson on 11-Aug-2006
I can only echo what others have said about the great people, the friendly service and the terrific fuel prices. I was told that the recent new owner (bought in mid-2005) has plans to erect a new improved terminal building which will also house a restaurant. The staff here is carrying on the legacy of the prior owners who always had a mission to keep general aviation friendly, attractive and as affordable as possible to all. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!

We visited on the way to Michigan from New York and plan on doing so again whenever we fly in this vicinity. The owner is a very nice courteous person.

We stopped at Salem Airpark on our way to Chicago from Princeton, NJ. That was the best choice we did when we stopped here. Very nice airport, very nice people! The fuel is extremely cheap, and Mike even filled up the plane (even it's self service). They gave us a car to go into the town to have lunch, which was also very nice of them! I can recommend this airport to everybody who wants to get cheap gas and wants to get a friendly welcome from the FBO! (We also stopped there yesterday to get gas again on out way home). Thank you for everything again!

From Gregory L. Garlow on 01-Dec-2005
I'll add our voice to the friendly spirit at 38D. The only "watchout for" is there isn't much room for hangar or tiedowns for transient aircraft. The tiedowns in the grass might not be very useful in bad weather. A call ahead of time so the guys could prepare might be the way to go.

From Ben Pidgeon on 12-Nov-2005
I made a stop into Salem for fuel and was very impressed. Best prices around and friendly service. Treated us like we were family. I recommend this to anyone that needs to fill up.

From Nickcole & Tim Evans on 05-Aug-2005
We use this airport/FBO several times a year to visit parents in Salem. However, the place is nice enough that we use it several more times a year merely as a fuel stop on our way west from Upstate NY. The price of the self serve fuel can't be beat. Service too! Now, if they could only get a couple GPS approaches that are lined of with the runways.

From David Sasse on 13-Jun-2005
Stopped at Salem on my way from Chicago to New York. Nice airport, clean and comfortable facilities. Frank??? offered to fuel my plane even though it was self serve. He also gave me the number for the local FSS so I could pick up my clearance. Nice airport with reasonable fuel prices.

From Doug Olmstead on 20-May-2005
I have landed at Salem twice in the past month to pick up family. Both times I was quickly greated by a lineman to top off the tanks for only $2.71 tax included. This is the best price/service in the area. I will continue to use 38D.
