I flew in with my buddy and his two kids for some lunch and a meeting with some more friends later on. The restaurant was busy for a Thursday though that is good to see it is locally supported by so many folks. The bacon cheeseburgers are great with their own homemade fries and a secret recipe sweet-sour coleslaw (yum). Again, easy self fueling with excellent prices so this is a great spot to fill up on chow and fuel.

Once again I was pleasantly surprised with the service I received at Salem Airpark, The level of service provided by Mike, his family, and employees was outstanding. The restaurant was not your typical airport food, this is a very nice family restaurant and I look forward to stopping by again.

I stopped in with two friends as a group of three aircraft (Keystone Flight) flying home to PA from Clinton, IA. The service at the fuel pump was great. The young man who helped us was very courteous. We ate at the restaurant and could not have been more please with the food and service. The owners, Mike and Brenda, introduced themselves to us and went out of their way to make sure we were treated well. What a great place to visit. The crowd proved that the restaurant is a big hit with the locals as well. Thanks Mike and Brenda. We'll be back.

Salem is one of those little-known gems of an airport that stand out and give General Aviation a good name. Returning to PA from the Cessna 150-152 Club International Fly-In in Clinton, IA, we stopped here for fuel. Some of our friends had fueled and stayed for lunch. The restaurant stayed open to feed us long after its normal closing time and the FBO staff was efficient and happy to help gas us up. Everyone was pleasant and friendly though forced to work late. I highly recommend this as a place worthy of your business.

The Keystone Flight of Central PA actually changed our fuel stop heading east because we heard what a great job Mike and Brenda do to make pilots feel welcome. We were not disappointed! The lineman came out and helped us with "self - serve" fuel, and the pilot planning area, pilot shop, lounge and excellent restaurant were all superb. I would make this a stop again, and even a fly-in breakfast destination for the future. Mike and Brenda, WELL DONE from the Keystone Flight of Central PA. Mike Marra, N714AJ.

Stopped in on 7/22/09. Great airport, great service, great food, and a good price on fuel. What else more do you want! The airport owners went out of their way to help us. I can't say thanks enough. The only down side is that it is not closer to NJ so I could stop in more often.

I come to praise a great central American based airport with lots of charm! Myself, and a flagship of three Pipers stopped in on this past Saturday (so long of a flight that I can't remember the date.) We were on a maintenance/deilvery run for a flight school I rent from in Robbinville NJ (N87). We departed Schaumburg IL, and stopped here for gas, and food. We met the owners at this lovely stop as well. Restaurant however, was closed at our arrival around 4 o'clock. (Open till 2pm most days.) However, owners invited us in, made us some quick sandwiches, and coffee at no charge! I definitely am going to come back to this desintation sometime in the future (maybe next year on one of my many flight schools flyouts I conduct). There is even a hotel near the field. Central America is the place to be for northeastern flyers like me!

38D seemed to be a good mid-way point for fuel and a quick bite of food while ferrying three airplanes from Chicago to New Jersey. Having missed breakfast, we were disappointed to find that we had arrived about an hour after the Skyline Diner had closed. Mike Pidgeon and his son, Ben, came to the rescue, re-opened the Diner, and rustled-up some sandwiches for us (on probably the best rye bread I've ever had). They were so hospitable that we called our other 3 pilots coming east with three other aiplanes the following day and insisted that they plan their fuel stop at Salem Air Park. Next time 38D is anywhere close to our line of flight, we'll be sure to stop in again - and this time we'll have some pie! Thanks Mike and Ben!

Flew in on Sunday morning a couple of weeks ago for breakfast. The facility is very nice, and folks are friendly. Fuel prices are also very competitive, if not great. The restaurant is new, nifty and very clean. The food overall was good, but it took 35 minutes to get. The hash browns were a soggy glop - the manager explained that they had to make so many... Never heard that one before. I'm still laughing... They have another potato option - get that: it looks good and I think they prepare it on demand. The owner is "good people, " so I'll be back...

A very nice GA friendly airport with excellent fuel prices. I used their self-serve pump after hours and its very easy. The pump has a very long hose so fueling my high-wing C172 was easy. They even provide portable steps to make refueling safe and hassle-free.

Unbelievable hospitality! Mike and his crew went way out of their way to accommodate me during the Races on the 22-24th!! All I needed was a space on the grass for my Mooney for the overnighter, and they gave an available hangar!! Talk about great people, very friendly and polite on the phone. You have to stop and at least take advantage of their fuel prices! A++++++++++++ Service!

Owner, Mike Pidgeon and his family are one of those brightly shining stars in the GA airport universe. They have a dedication to offering the lowest fuel prices in Ohio. Yesterday's price was almost a full dollar under the average price across the NE Ohio region. It's refreshing to see old fashioned work ethic, a great sense of customer service and price sensitivity in contrast to the "get-rich-quick" mentality that is so pervasive in our world today. Can't wait for Mike's family-owned restaurant to open soon on the field. I will stop and spend my money here at every reasonable opportunity.
