Although the guys at the airport were more then friendly and helpful, the fuel is mispriced. It is actually $5.20 per gallon. Nowhere is the price visible on the ground. Just got the bad news with the receipt. Runway has weeds growing as tall as 18" in the runway.

This is a great, user-friendly airport to access the east side of KC. Modest facilities, but a knowledgeable staff, and Richard White is an accomplished RV builder and just an all around nice guy. I stopped here to visit family and bad storm blew up. I raced back to the airport only to find my plane tucked away in the big hangar safe and sound. That is the kind of service you can expect here. Self Service fuel works great. Stop by.

I stopped at East Kansas City AP and was met by Richard. He asked if I needed a ride somewhere and I told him I was being picked up but would need to make arrangements for early in the morning. Richard said he could pick me up and asked what time. I told him I wanted to take off around 7:00 AM and he said he would be at the hotel at 6:30 AM. You don't get better service than that.
