Very nice, very well maintained airpark with reasonable fuel prices and fees--especially compared to Bergstrom. One thing, though . . . Make it a point to remember to close the lid/top on the fuel payment machine after you use it. It's easy to forget. The payment machine is new and the lid/top keeps the weather off of it. Great folks. We'll be back.

Nice quiet airport with good fuel prices. Easy access for pick-up and drop off. Landed and took off well before sunset. First 2 nites tie down free w/top off. However, there was only two tie downs left when we arrived, and there is a sign that says "If all tie downs are in use, you must re-locate aircraft." So it might be prudent to call ahead to see if there is space.

Stopped by on May 3rd for about 7 hours. Advised by local on Unicom to make sure and pay landing fee. They have a new FBO type building but forget about using it. It's for members only. The old shack they used to have was user friendly. Give Lakeway Resort a call for a ride to restaurant from airport. (512 261 6600) It's really nice and they are friendly.

Stopped on way back to Houston from California with new airplane. First class operation. Lakeway Resort and Hotel picked us up and took us to Resort where we had lunch. Returned us when we were done eating. Had battery problems so van driver got jumper cables from Resort maintenance dept and let us jump the airplane with their cables. The phone number is on the bulletin board on the airport office building. We"ll be back to stay at Resort next time.

Lakeway Airpark is a nice place to stop over, eat, and re-fuel. They recently rebuilt the small office/FBO, which used to be a run-down shack, with a nice bricked building. Surroundings were updated too. Call the Lakeway Inn (the number is posted there) and van will pick you up shortly for a quick ride to the Inn. Lunch overlooking Lake Travis can't be beat. Great food....Prices are mid to high for lunch. Be sure to watch out for those late afternoon ops....Ive heard they will pull out onto the runway to stop you! All in all, a very nice place to stop. My passengers definitely like Lakeway.

Flew into Lakeway right after Christmas. Nice airport and the price of fuel was more than a dollar and a half cheaper per gallon than anywhere in the local area--that translated into over fifty bucks saved for our stop. The runway is good even though a bit more hilly than most I've seen but easily landable. The folks we met there were very friendly. Just avoid landing or taking off near sunset or sunrise. Overall, a great stop to refuel.
