Great service, cheap fuel, a very nice courtesy car and directions to a good barbecue restaurant. What more could a pilot ask for?

Very nice FBO! There's a pilot door w/ a keypad for us late nighters. Kitchen, Shower, Very nice couches and TV. NO SS fuel! Carlie's Restaurant is about 1/3 mile down the road, but closed at 2 on Sundays.

Flew up to Scottsboro today to visit the Unclaimed Baggage store (ok but a bit over-rated). Hodges FBO at Scottsboro airport is an extremely well run, clean well-equipped facility. Very friendly attendant let us use the courtesy van to drive over to the store. Tip: Save .35¢ a gallon on the 100LL by pumping it yourself.

We flew our Piper 180 from Alexander City (KALX) to Scottsboro (4A6) today. The manager of the airport was so friendly. Put some fuel in our plane and handed my wife and I the keys to the courtesy car and we headed to the famous Unclaimed Baggage. Shopped all we wanted and stopped by the Liberty Restaurant and ate a good home cooked meal (1 meat 2 veggies $5.29). Took the car back to the airport and topped things off with a donut and headed back home. Thanks Scottsboro for being so kind. See you again soon!

Flew to 4A6 just for something to do. Mgr was extremely friendly & helpful (I think his wife was there too, also very friendly). I got a little turned around & called the airport. He helped me find the airport, just NW of the nuclear plant. Called me when I was still on the runway to see if I needed any services. Told him I needed a courtesy car if they had one. They gladly obliged, & gave us directions to 2 different restaurants, plus the Unclaimed Baggage store. Per the airport mgr's advice, we ate at the Pikeville Store - a 100-year-old gas station/grocery store/burger joint/hardware store out in the country. Awesome burger basket! No charge for courtesy van, no ramp fees, and very helpful! Very friendly, even showed us pictures of the fly-in they had last weekend. Can't get much better! Wasn't particularly impressed with the prices at Unclaimed Baggage.
