I read about the mobile home pilot’s lounge. I was interested to see what this looked like. It was very nice. I am impressed with this facility, easy in and out and cheap gas.

Stopped for fuel the other day, cheaper than most in the Little Rock area!

Larry, the Chairman of the Airport Commission, was very helpful while we were based at Carlisle for aerial survey work. He was waiting for us when we arrived, quickly provided a T hangar for our 206, and generally made sure that we had what we needed during our stay. Nick's was a frequent lunch stop for us - try the pulled pork.

Called ahead and spoke with John about parking overnight at Carlisle. He was there within 5 minutes of getting on the ground, gave us the car keys, a map, and a spot in the large hangar for the plane overnight. I was curious about the pilot's lounge (trailer home) as we rolled in, but it is super nice inside (door code is CTAF freq). If there weren't a hotel so close, it would have been a perfect place to stay. Got some good catfish at Nick's and a really great/inexpensive breakfast at Advada's in the morning. Didn't look like there was any full-time staff, but definitely worth stopping by. Thanks!

We flew into Carlisle a week ago to trade our Mooney for a 210. The airport manager left us a courtesy car to get around in while we were there overnight. The airport has a nice FBO with drinks and clean bathrooms. I will come back here again Thanks For everything.

Carlisle airport has been a frequent stop on our way to and from Gainesville from Denver. There is very little traffic and a very good fuel price. The manager and pilots on the field are also very friendly. They have a crew car at the pilot's lounge and it can easily be utilized to get to a great barbeque place for lunch. The restaurant also has great catfish. For such a small town, there are also very adequate motel rooms available and the use of the crew car can be assured by calling the manager ahead of the travel. All in all, a great place to stop.

Landed here on my way back from Florida for a fuel stop. SS Fuel price for 100LL was $3.81 as posted. The runway was in good shape and I really appreciated the new Mobile Home that was added as the Pilot Lounge, excellent addition to this friendly little airport. By the way the code for the door was the CTAF frequency, which was not marked on the door, but I radioed a pilot in the pattern that was kind enough to give it to me. Also thanks to the Apache pilot that helped me out with the Pumps. I will land here for sure again, if I'm in the area.

Combination is still the same as the old on the new pilot lounge (CTAF frequency). Sodas available in the fridge. Taxiway lighting is being installed. Runway lighting controlled with five-clicks - three more reduces the intensity.
