One of the Best. Got to the fuel pump before me ... Complete service. The most cheerful smiling faces in Aviation. Music Man BBQ and Harrold's Cafe four miles away. Everything is clean and they are proud of the facilities. RWY 23 is five miles south of the big lake you cannot miss it.

Nice fuel stop. They have self-serve pumps, but one of the staff greeted me and offered to pump the fuel for me. Really friendly folks. Snack machine is out of service, but snacks are available at the front desk. They offered to let us borrow a car to get some real food but we didn't have the time. Facilities were nice. I'll return.

Used as fuel stop to and from Florida. As noted in other comments it is really full service fuel at lowest price around. In addition it is very nice facility with very friendly service.

Though I'm based at a nearby airport, it's always a pleasure to visit 50J and today was no exception- the service keeps getting better! Stacy met us at the plane, fueled herself, offered to tow it to a tie-down spot, and gave us keys to the courtesy car and directions to the local eateries. She is very nice and personable and if we didn't have things to do, we would have just hung out for a while.

8 April 2007 - Not enough space here to say all that is great about 50J. Arrived Easter afternoon and met my family for lunch. Decided to wait and fuel the next morning. When I arrived the young lady offered to tow my plane to the self-serve. She fueled the plane while I got my stuff together. Please let her know if you start to put the flaps down as not to scare the mess out of her. Sorry! Fuel price was great. Service was wonderful. I shall return.

A very nice place to stop and buy gas on the way from NY to FL. A pleasant lady pumped the gas and brought the receipt from the self-service pump while I went inside to get a WX update on the computer provided. The airport building was clean and new, and had a spiffy airplane hanging from the ceiling. No restaurant on field, so bring lots of breakfast bars, but the very low gas prices definitely made up for that very minor inconvenience. Will definitely stop here again next time I'm by this way.

Wish I could have visited this airport under better circumstances... While en route to KVDI, we started having electrical problems and had to land at the nearest airport: 50J. We touched down short of the runway and totaled the airplane (thankfully all passengers were unharmed without a scratch). Everybody here at Monck's Corner was extremely courteous and helpful. Thanks everyone!

Left the plane at 50J for two nights as we went into Charleston. Very good people to deal with. Tie down is $5 per night with the first night waived with a fuel purchase. Fuel was inexpensive and they had plane topped when we got to the airport. Enterprise dropped a car off for us so there was no delay when we arrived. Overall a good experience and much more reasonably priced than CHS.

I am only echoing the former comments. We flew in and received exceptional service. Stacy responded to our initial call up when we were still 6 miles out! She assisted us in fueling and towed us to our tie down spot. She was extremely helpful in every way. The next morning we called and spoke with Kip who provided us with directions around North Charleston. We arrived back at 50J and Peter went over and beyond in assisting us with completing our transactions. Overnight fee was waived with fuel purchase, which was more than $1.00 per gallon cheaper than CHS, and after seeing the other comments here our choice was a no brainier. Highly recommended!

Wow, what a stop. They fueled aircraft even though self serve pump. Lowest priced fuel on my trip to the Florida Keys from PA. Two aircraft arrived at once during lunch hour. We were offered the crew car because we were first, but Kip, the manager, gave the other group his own truck! Kip also suggested Barony House for lunch...What a great meal! A must stop for food/fuel on any trip within 200 miles!!!

Stopped for fuel on the way back to KLEE from KJYO. Stacy was very helpful and very busy that day. Best fuel prices around and an excelent FBO, very friendly and accommodation. I plan to make it my permanent southbound fuel stop.

Stopped there twice last weekend on the way to FLA and back. *Very* friendly, gas was cheap, and runway was excellent. A great alternative to CHS and I recommend it.

I stopped here on the way to Florida from Boston. I had found it through AirNav and it was exactly as described. The price was the cheapest for a few hundred miles around, they have a new FBO building, the runway was either freshly paved or well maintained. Both Jet A and 100LL available. Good place to stop.

From Mike Catron on 09-Jan-2006
Very helpful and friendly on my recent gas and go southbound on a recent Saturday morning. Super clean FBO building, highly recommended!

Quick stop 23DEC05. Very friendly FBO and great little airport to stop for fuel. They fueled me up and offered to use the courtesy car for lunch. Facilities are impeccable. Definitely will stop again.

Ditto previous comments. Tied down two nights and purchased avgas. Stacy pumped gas and helped tie down. She was also of great help with tourist directions. Rental car was ready when we arrived. Just call Stacy on unicom and she will notify Enterprise that you are inbound.

Ditto Ken Holston of 6 April 05. Stacy was a big help in directions and sightseeing info. She even helped tie down and pumped Avgas. You won't find a better fuel stop or overnight.
