The trees on the East end of the airport have been cut down! Best fuel prices in the area. There is a computer in the terminal for WX, and a HD TV on the wall to watch the Weather Channel. The coffee maker works, and there are usually donuts on the counter. The 'fridge has stuff to drink and ice cream snacks (and a donation cup :-) After hours access to the terminal is the MI standard code: 5, 3-2 together, 1

Great airport, people here are going out to their way to be neighborly and the fuel price is great. I was surprised with the comment about being "confronted", could it be one of the regulars, eager to strike up a conversation? My wife loves family atmosphere, aside from the regular Young Eagle events, the local day care center even does field trips here!

Ray Airport is the post card small town airport. What a great airport. Reminds me of the airports you see on the AOPA holiday cards they sell every year. From the friendly folks drinking coffee in the terminal, to the easy to use self-service pump, I couldn't be more impressed. With reasonable fuel prices, and more than enough people to talk airplanes with, I'll be flying in and out of Ray more often. Thanks to the people of 57D for creating what I thought had been lost in southeast Michigan. A friendly General Aviation airport with a great support network behind it! Keep up the good work.

Stopped in this past Sat morning to get fuel, taxied to the pumps. Turns out they were pouring a concrete walk, no pylons up no fencing; my prop wash blew a few stones onto the wet concrete. Wife went inside to turn on pump only to get confronted by one of the group of guys sitting around bs-ing. Not a very good welcoming committee, last time there for me. To bad, I'm only 5 miles away.

Nice airport, as Eric mentions the trees come up fast on a hot day. Airport Manager set us up with a car and got soda and cake from inside. Great fuel price.

Fueled 2 x 182's here today. VISA worked great, did not stop and spent over $200 per airplane on fuel - best price in 30 miles. Very nice terminal, I wish every small airport had a facility this nice. Just need a WX computer and it'd be perfect.

If you use MasterCard, the pump will stop at $75. Shut it off, slide your card again, and finish filling up.

Visiting family in the area we thought we would try this airport. Not impressive looking but the runway (9-27) was in very good shape and the people friendly. Parking is on grass tie downs. Be careful parking, it is bumpy. Consult your performance charts. You will need to execute the short field takeoff over the 50' obstacle. Good fuel prices--self serve. The terminal for the fuel is in the building. May not be available after hours--check first!
