This airport has progressed leaps and bounds in the past couple of years. Nice transient tie down area. A brand new pilot's lounge. Freshly paved taxiways. When Steve brought fuel in last year to the field, it became a destination. The town of Davenport is one block to the East and you can easily walk to the local restaurants and stores. Steve Gommel has put a lot of work and effort into this airport and it shows. Worth a flight to have lunch at the restaurant across the street from the field. The Columbia River is just a few miles away as the crow flies. I fly to Davenport regularly for business.
