Flew into Ferguson for the first time the other day. Scouting mission for a group fly-in to go to the Navy Museum. Jennifer was very friendly and helped us with transportation for our group. The runway was in great shape. No problems at all. Looking forward to coming back with the whole gang. Thanks.

Outstanding airport. Great folks. Runway is in good shape. No taxiways, just taxi on the grass. We pulled off abeam the gas pump and had no problem in the Mooney 201. Would have liked to see some markings about where to taxi, as we figured the grass might be soft. Jennifer was very nice and gave us a ride to the Navy base.

We took a day trip to this 'jewel' of an airfield from Leesburg FL. Studying the sectional shows VFR flyways along the coast line however we found if you use flight following they hand you over and Pensacola NAS make things real easy with direct to or just continue along the coast line, enjoy the views and report when airfield in sight. Once on the ground we were met by Jennifer who free of charge dropped us at the Naval Air Museum Pensacola, flying from central FL crossing the 'time line' we gained an extra hour's visit time (14:00 became 13:00) As ever in America, friendly folk who go that extra mile.

Very positive experience today. Friendly/helpful staff met me on the taxi in and allowed me to spend the day in a tie down spot at no charge even without a fuel purchase. Skinny asphalt runway but plenty of well kept grass. Thanks again.

Just flew into Ferguson for a 4th of July fishing trip and a visit with friends. Read the reviews from AirNav, and must say this is one best-kept secrets in Pensacola. Great location, terrific fuel price for the region. There is nothing like a family owned operation that appreciates your business. The airport is not that difficult to get in or out of if you work with PNS Approach. Thanks for the pleasant stay!

If Mr. Calder can't be happy at Ferguson’s, He just can't be happy.

From Jeff Richards on 02-Oct-2007
The previous entry by Mr. Calder didn't have correct information. Ferguson's fuel is always cheaper than PNS, and fairly competitive with other airports in the area. Who wants to fly 2 hours to find cheaper fuel? Anyway, love the people running the FBO. Great service, friendly and extremely helpful. Like most people, I don't mind paying the minimal tie down fee; this is the Ferguson's livelihood after all.

While Jennifer & Don may be friendly and assist with rental cars reservations, they are not friendly with their fuel price or ramp fees. Their fuel price is only slightly less than the nearby Pensacola/PNS, and they still charge $10/night for ramp parking even with the purchase of fuel. I filled up 1-hour north prior to arrival for $1.00/gal less and then 2 hours east near Tallahassee for also $1.00/gal less. The fact that they have both an asphalt landing strip and a well-maintained grass strip makes this a fun field to land at (depart on the asphalt). Bathrooms were acceptable.
