Stopped in for fuel on my way to Memphis. Jim Achord and his staff were very helpful and friendly. The FBO was neat and clean and well maintained. This is an old Army Air Field and has lots of neat history. The service was great. I have added Courtland and Tennessee Valley Air Center to my regular stops.

Tennessee Valley Air Center and its proprietors are the very embodiment of professionalism and choice customer service. I've been involved in aviation for over ten years and never have I had a more pleasurable FBO experience. Take advantage of the incredible self serve fuel prices but do yourself a favor prior to departure. Stop in and chat with Jim Achord. A pilot gentleman to be sure, and a wealth of knowledge concerning all things aviation related. A return to this airport is a forgone conclusion, as kindness abounds.

I had magneto trouble when trying to start after a fuel stop at 9A4. Jim and the gang pushed my aircraft into the hangar and let me stay at the FBO after hours while the aircraft owner flew up with a spare part. These guys are the best, and this is what FBO service should be like! 6.5 stars!

You won't find better people anywhere. Jim was fantastic, offering me the courtesy car and putting my Mooney in a hangar when the rain crept in. The folks at Lawrence County are how every airport should be. They are pilot who understand and are ready to help!

My wife and I flew in there last Friday during a weather divert on our way to HSV. Decided to fuel up at the fuel pump and was met there by Jim, the airport manager. He could not have been nicer. Helped me fuel my airplane, wound up the hose and then when thunderstorms with hail threatened the airport, graciously put my airplane in a vacant hangar. He then volunteered his own personal car so that we could make it to HSV that evening if we could not continue our flight. Now that's service! My hat's off to Jim, Darrel and the others who helped us "weather the storm". Many thanks guys for being the "good Samaritan"!

Just a note in appreciation of the kindness, consideration, and all-around great treatment experienced from Jim, Jeff, Darryl, Sylvia, and others at the Tennessee Valley Air Center when stopping there on my way to Washington State. I am most grateful for all the assistance immediately offered and freely given.

Very helpful and friendly. The courtesy car had already been taken and the lady at the FBO let us take her personal car to get a bite to eat. Couldn't have asked for more friendly and professional service.

My daughter and I stopped here last year on a Sunday flying in OUR PLANE up to Airventure. Place was empty, closed tight. Fueled with self-serve. Stopped by today, Airventure time again, to see about fuel prices & benefits during op hours. MOST UNKIND response from airport personnel!! I asked a question, received the most demeaning, condescending reply in my 18 years of flying.. HE was obviously responding to what he perceived to be "an ignorant little woman". Lots of other NICE places along the way!!
