Shearer Aviation is one of the best shops that I have known. They are reasonable priced, honest, straightforward in terms of what is going on with your plane and nice.

My friend and I had just taken off from my home airport on another GoFlyAmerica mission when I realized that the comm radio was not transmitting. We landed at Deck to try to troubleshoot the problem, and to our relief found Smart Avionics, Inc. On the field. They looked at the radio, told us to wait just a few minutes while they ate lunch, then came back with a test meter and determined that it was "big foot disease"--someone had stepped on the wire into the intercom box and pulled the PTT wire off. They had us on our way in just a few more minutes with a working radio! They were extremely nice about it, and told us to remember them when we needed our next transponder check. You can believe that we will!

I've been through two annuals with Jay on my Grumman. He pays attention to detail. Has always treated me fairly and I start my third annual and engine upgrade at his shop next week. I fly up here from Delaware for my aviation needs. It's truly a friendly place.
