Flew into Akron to attend a meeting in Lockport. I couldn't have asked for a friendlier place to land with excellent service. As I shut down the engine a member of the staff came out to tie down the airplane and provide any help we needed. Fueling was completed per instructions and the plane was ready to go when arrived back to depart. The runway is in excellent condition and the facilities are good as well. We originally were going to land at Lockport airport but read that the runway conditions were poor. This was confirmed as we drove past the airport. Akron gets a definite thumbs up!! We will be back.

July 2008, on my way from San Francisco to Maine my plane had a mechanical problem and I landed at Akron knowing nothing about the airport or facilities. I was extremely fortunate, as I don't think there is a friendlier airport anywhere. The Mgr. John and his wife Nancy went out of their way to help me. They provided a place for my plane to be worked on drove me to get a rental car and phoned around and got me a motel. I was there for several days and they couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful.
