Great little airport. Glad to see a runway with a "western" orientation in this part of Kansas. Winds on my arrival were 280@21G31! Fuel pump worked fine and terminal was open although it was lunch hour and nobody was home.
Stopped for fuel at around 7pm on a Wednesday evening. FBO was closed. Self-service fuel didn't work - said "see attendant". There was a phone beside the FBO door but no listing for the FBO or after hours help. Using my iPad I found the FBO's number, called it and got a barely understandable message with contact numbers. Called one, was told he was busy harvesting corn but would call someone else for me. I gave up and had just started my engine when a car pulled up. He went inside and found the phone for the self-service pump had been left off the hook. His quick and cheerful service is the only thing that allowed me to rank this place higher than "Terrible".
