This airport is owned and operated by the City of Pekin, with an airport office on site staffed daily by a very helpful Lori Justice. She was very responsive to my e-mails for information ahead of time and put me in touch with AVIS that brought a rental car down for me from Peoria. The airport is super easy in and out, with a convenient fuel island right in the transient parking area by the terminal. Ask for tie downs and they will provide. The GPS approach got me in during a rain storm and my rental car was waiting. Very convenient. Nice people and uncrowded alternative to Peoria.

Same as the previous comment. The fuel island is easy parking (pumps and CC reader are on the terminal side - not great signage). The woman in the office (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) was friendly and helpful. Razorback approach was helpful and it was easy to pick up our IFR outbound after airborne.

Landed using the GPS approach. Found the fuel island easy to use with a ladder available. Lady in office was very friendly and helpful. Will stop again at any time for fuel.

Got stranded one night for weather. Lori the airport manager was very helpful in allowing the use of the airport courtesy car. Also there were several local pilots who were helpful in hangaring our aircraft for three days until the storm passed. Thanks to all!! Smitty
