Very friendly atmosphere. Weather grounded me overnight and they put the airplane in a hangar and offered transportation. Great people!

For some reason I felt it was one of the funniest airports to fly into. My roommate talked me into flying to Cedar Rapids for Al and Irene's Barbeque. C17 was less of a drive and their fuel was cheaper than CID. They lent us a courtesy car and our plane was fueled up and ready to go when we got back. It had an awesome atmosphere for an airport, very friendly staff and it seemed like it would've been a great place to get instruction. They also have a live cougar on the premises, which is just hanging out in a hangar with an attached cage. It would've been sweet to get a picture of it with me in the airplane (on the ground of course).

Great little GA airport. Watch out, the runway is narrow. Owner/proprietor stayed at the airport because he knew we were inbound, lit up the lights when he heard us on CTAF and got us fueled up and tied down in the grass for the night. Next morning line crew towed our planes onto the ramp for loading, startup and departure. Nice airport, friendly staff. Beat up crew van but this beggar won't complain!
