Forced down due to weather. LUCKY ME! Seriously! The manager and asst. manager were great. I had to hole for more than 6 hours. Finally had to have family drive up from Dallas to get me as weather was not going to improve soon enough for me get there on time. Weather was becoming more threatening as I was about to leave my plane tied down outside. They had some spare room in their WW2 era hangar. They offered it to me without having to be asked. New self service fuel system works and fuel fairly priced. Thank You David and Denny.

Flew in to tour the Brantley helicopter plant and to get the cheapest fuel in the area. They have a new CC system installed however it is not in operation as of yet so the line guy will fuel you from the truck. They have an airport car if needed and access to the Internet. Very friendly people.

Ran into severe weather and was forced to spend the night in Vernon. As it turns out, we couldn't have been over a better town and airport to hole up for the night in. The airport is very well maintained and even though we landed just before sundown on a Sunday night in the middle of a bad storm, one of the airport crew was there and loaned us a courtesy car for as long as we needed it. Fuel prices were excellent, service was outstanding. These folks know how to run an airport.

Great place to refuel. Avgas 100LL was 3.426/gal. Service was great. I barely shut the engine down before Wade was there with the truck. Lounge was very nice.

Stopped in to refuel during long cross-country. Fuel price of $3.15 for 100LL was unbelievable. Service was courteous and efficient. Airport is in great condition. FBO is clean and adequate. Great place to refuel.

Stopped for fuel on 12/21. Very nice folks and very accommodating. Still have good fuel prices.
