Airpark of Dallas Estates is alive and fighting the City of Carrollton's attempts to close the airpark. The Airpark is privately owned and public use, any qualified pilot may land and enjoy the many restaurants, shopping, etc. that this unique area has to offer. David Noell is not the airport manager, even though he may tell you so. Land at your own risk as there are vehicles crossing the runway and taxiways regularly. To my knowledge the fuel is very old and I would personally not take the risk of utilizing it in any aircraft that I would operate.

This was my first trip to Air Park Dallas and I'm glad I went there instead of the expensive alternatives. I didn't need gas or any other services so I landed, tied down in the grass (there are anchored chains already there) and parked for 3 nights. The runway is very well maintained. Just call Addison on landing and departure and they'll take care of you. There is an entrance to the parking area off of West Plano Pkwy Southbound.

Dallas Air Park is one of those gems in the world of general aviation, with the kindest people you could hope to encounter. I had a starter problem trying to depart last week, and people came from all directions to lend a hand. I cannot say enough for the help I got to get 5CA started up and on my way. One important thing to know: no credit cards for fuel at this airport. I paid in cash, but they were content to have me pay with a check. Keep this jewel of a field alive by stopping in the next time you're headed to Plano, Carrolton, or the North side of Dallas!

Great stop. If you're coming to North Dallas this should be your stop. No fees. Lots of space for Tie down. Especially nice if you just want to grab food and go. There must be 100 restaurants with in a stones throw from the runway. Big mall (Willow Bend) across the street. Gas is available if you call the Airport Manager way cheaper than KADS. QuikTrip across street if you run mogas. Right Traffic to 34. Call Addison Tower 5 miles out 126.0. Great Airport with Great Potential.

Air Park is alive and well. Airplanes come and go daily. There are several restaurants in walking distance that serve those wonderful $100 hamburgers.

In a world (Dallas) where *ALL* the local airports are out to *SCREW* you to the tune of $1 to $2 above the average price of Avgas nationwide, Teri doesn't do that--and they don't jack you for an obscene $15/day to park like the FBO's over at Addison. I called from L.A. to see if I could park there for a few days and get some gas, and Teri was *VERY* helpful, answered questions, and even helped Enterprise find us to pick us up. These folks are as friendly as can be. Remember it is a *private* airport--you need to call ahead to make arrangements. If you don't, then don't show up expecting to get gas, because no one is around. This is definitely the budget stop in Dallas if you're not expecting the Red Carpet treatment. Some piston drivers like to have their ego pumped so they feel like they're driving a CJ, and are willing to pay a bunch of $ to get that. Not me. Airpark Dallas suits me just fine. Thanks Teri!

Note: Most of the airport property has recently been annexed by the city of Carrollton, TX. It is very likely that some or all of the property will be re-zoned, which may cause the airport to close. 3/1/2008
