Printer receipt system was working. The only problem in the pump shuts down before you can fill all of the tanks. I had to restart the system for each tank on my aircraft.

The new self serve system was temporarily out of service because a thunderstorm blew out the system. Evidently the surge protection was not installed by the contractor. However, when I needed to leave late Sunday for business on 7/31 and was below takeoff min fuel, I was able to call Tom and he made a special trip out to the airport to get me fueled. So, Tom THANK-YOU. When I returned a week later, the self-service was back up and running again. At the time the receipt printer was not yet fixed, but that is of little concern for me. Tom is the only full time employee at I23. So, if he has to run an errand or simply takes a break for lunch, the FBO can be temporarily closed, as he has to lock-up when leaving. The self-serve fuel will help a lot with that issue. Nonetheless, what Tom needs is more help.

I'm very sorry to have to write this note about I23 as I have enjoyed this stop enroute to Chicago for many years. Tom and his wife had given us excellent friendly service. Last fall we stopped on a Sunday to find the FBO and fuel pump locked up tight. A week later they reported on AirNav that they were closed on Sundays. Okay, fair enough. A week ago we arrived on a Thursday midday to find the brand new self-serve fuel facility turned off and the FBO locked up tight again. No signs, no excuses, nothing. I19 (Greene County) will have to be our new midway stop.

I fueled up today (7-15-11). The self serve pump is up and works fine. Good price too.

Full service fuel is and has been available for about a month now. Technical issues are delaying the self serve card reader, but that should be working anytime now. New ramp with new tie downs came with the self fueling upgrade.

Fuel system is still down. Should be up and running next week.

As of May 7, 2011 fuel is not available. The tanks are being relocated and won't be up for a week or so. I was also told that they will have a card reader installed and that self serve will be available soon. A nice little airport with a new FBO but I'd call ahead if you're fueling in the next month.

Nice airport and friendly, down to earth manager. After I departed from a fuel stop, found that I had left my coat in the FBO. One call and an address label, and they were kind enough to promptly ship it onward to me at my destination. Many thanks for this nice facility and friendly staff.

Great fuel prices but attendance is spotty. I stopped by 12 Sept enroute to MERFI to get fuel but no one was available to pump fuel. Call ahead!

Tom the FBO manager and his wife are very friendly and helpful. The fuel is low priced.

Feb. 3, 2010, we got a friendly Unicom greeting, ushered to a tie-down tee, chocked, and greeted by Tom, airport Mgr. He securely surrendered the keys to a truck that a friend left for us, provided a map and directions to the farm auction. Fuel is reasonably priced, exactly as listed on AirNav. Airplane rental and instruction rates cheapest I've seen. Tom even gave my 4 year-old son his own toy airplane when we departed. Thanks for your hospitality.

Nice people, full service at prices advertised, despite cold and snow on the ground. More than $1 less/gal than fuel at KOSU, just 13 minutes away! Definitely is my fuel stop when flying into central Ohio.
