The owner doesn't like people to back taxi. If you are taking off to the north you have to back taxi to use the entire runway. The facility is in very poor condition and the services if you can call them that are poor at best. Would not recommend this place and will not return. You are better off landing on a country road and getting services from a local farmer.

Riverside has a new beacon, finding the airport at night is much easier than in the past.

I recently parked at this airport for an overnight stay. When I came out the next morning to leave, there was a roadgrader parked behind my plane and a skid loader parked in front of it. Luckily there was enough room to maneuver my plane out of there. I don't know what kind of a fool would park equipment that close to an airplane. Surely not anyone that is an aviator. Anyway, I got the plane out so I could return to make an early morning meeting. I still don't know what was up with the equipment. If the proprietor needed something with me or didn't like where I parked, there was no note to let me know that. I needed fuel but there is never anyone there in the evening to sell it. Since Benton airport has been resurfaced and has a self service gas pump, that is where I will be going from now on.
