Continues to be airport with excellent fuel prices. Don't expect additional amenities. If you're looking for price, this IS the location, however. I appreciate their willingness to keep prices down.

Taxiway paving is done. Now have regular access. For the time... price still excellent!! Don't look for any frills at this stop, however.

Stopped on a flight from MHK to 5G7. The fuel was cheap, so that's always a draw. They are repaving the taxiway, so you have to taxi down the grass strip. It is well marked and you can either turn right to gas (park beside the barriers and drag the nozzle to your plane) or turn left and over to parking. The pump is well marked to get it fueling, but I couldn't figure out the receipt since the last step explaining it was peeling off. The bathrooms are existant, but not very clean. There is also a phone right inside the door to call WXBRIEF or whatever. No one there said "hi" or anything, so I was in and out without really being noticed.

The price is right and the self-serve pump worked normally. There are several items of interest on display outside in the FBO area, including several military vehicles and aircraft (including the mighty F-4 Phantom). Of particular interest is the radial engine mounted on a stand with the crankcase cutaway so you can finally see how they get all those connecting rods to fit on just one crankshaft journal! This is a great place to stop for fuel and browse around.

This is a great place to stop for fuel. I had no problems at all with the self-serve pump. After fueling, we spent an enjoyable 30 minutes looking at the various items of interest located around the FBO area, including several military vehicles and airplanes (including the mighty F-4 Phantom jet). Of particular interest is the radial engine mounted on a stand with the crankcase cut away so you can look inside and see how all of those piston and rod assemblies connect to just one crankshaft journal!
