Great fuel price which is greatly appreciated. However, I could not find any pilot facilities including a rest room and no phone is available. Even a "Port a Potty" would be appreciated. The fuel price compensates for the inconvenience. Thanks

Response from Jay Griggs, City of Amery
Sorry, Harry, that you couldn't find the pilot lounge. It is right on the ramp and includes a restroom, vending machine, telephone, sofas and TV. There is also a courtesy car that is available to pilots who fly in, courtesy of our local car dealer.

Jay is absolutely correct; a quick call on my part would have solved the problem. AHH is a great field with fantastic fuel prices.

No fuel available Jun 8, 2008. Price listed was $4.35, but none was available and no sign or explanation posted at SS pumps.

Response from Jay Griggs, Airport Manager
Sorry, Chris, that you were unable to get fuel. There was plenty in the tank, but the mower had cut the telephone line, so the self service system wouldn't work. I didn't know about it until I read your comment last night, as no one called me about the problem. We got the phone company out there last night and fixed the problem. Thanks for posting your coment, but I would have preferred a phone call so I could have gotten it repaired quicker. Had you called, I could also have gotten you your fuel by taking your credit card info over the phone and operating the pump manually.

Nice little airport with courtesy car. Fuel is cheap.
