Given the comments on this FBO I landed on 1/26/12 for a business meeting with very low expectations. I have to say I was very positively surprised. The facilities were absolutely on par with many larger FBOs in the NE area. They set me up in a pilot's lounge in the second floor with free wireless and was able to have all kinds of business calls from there before and after my meetings in perfect silence and comfort. Everyone was extremely cordial and professional definitively recommendable.

This FBO needs a lot of work. Computer was completely disconnected, cables lying on floor. Staff not very concerned. No crew lounge/rest area. Paid $50 ramp fee, no crew car. Front desk computer was offered but employee was using it. I was told walk to restaurant was within walking distance. If 25 min is walking distance then I suppose it was.

Customer service staff was loudly badmouthing pilots including the crew of a visiting corporate jet and even one of his own renters. He was constantly using foul language within earshot of customers in the lobby -- sometimes loudly.

Diverted to AUG due to weather at our destination. The staff at Maine Instrument Flight was quick to get a rental car for our passengers, and rearranged their hangar to fit our PC12 in as we waited out some storms. Thanks a lot for the help!
