As a single engine piston aircraft pilot (SOCATA Trinidad) I seldom fly into the primary airport of the busier Class C airspace. (Many Class C are pretty slow, they don't count.) When going to Austin area I normally use KGTU as it is close to my destination. However, this time KAUS was closer. I must say KAUS was easy to get into and out of with ATC. Atlantic Aviation had everything set up well, they marshalled us in, my car was ready to go, FBO building is really nice. Free coffee etc. People were very nice as well. Yes, fuel is higher than other places and a security fee of $15 was added but all other fees were waived with a small fuel purchase. There are far more jets on the ramp than piston aircraft. For me it seems single engine piston planes are very welcome at KAUS by both ATC and Atlantic FBO. It is more expensive but the location and features may make it the stop for you.

No real slam on Atlantic, but I think I have made my last trip into Bergstrom. A $30 fee to simply land, pick up passengers, and leave convinces me that the city of Austin simply does not want small planes at AUS. Paying more money to buy fuel at ridiculous prices in order for Atlantic to waive the fee is no solution. Executive is nearby and the folks at the FBO there are friendly. Their fuel is reasonable and it's not that much farther. Goodbye AUS.

Always a pleasure to stop here. Special thanks to The GoRental Team Nicole, Liz and Wayne- unbeatable customer service! Also special thanks to the entire front desk CSR's.

Atlantic does a good job in and out, but they should hold their vendors they use for service more accountable. Echelon car service charged us over 800.00 for a drop-off at Horseshoe Bay. I tried to resolve with the owner but he never returned my call, this looks bad on Atlantic. We are likely to use the other FBO if they continue to use vendors who price gouge because they can.

I just called Atlantic to check before I went there in my RV6. $40.00 ramp fee plus $15.00 security fee, for two hours on the ramp. Since I'm a corporate pilot also, I don't think they need my business.

Excellent service from this Atlantic branch. They were everything that you would want in an FBO, polite, convenient, handled my rental car seamlessly (Go Rentals is on site), and charged me a fair price (CAA really is great!).

Arrived on Friday afternoon in the Bonanza. Busy ramp, lots of turbines. Was marshaled to a spot with only a short walk to the FBO. No help with bags as everyone was doing the Friday afternoon hustle, but thanks to rollers it wasn't a big deal. Friendly desk and great facility. Departed on Sunday, ramp was full again (still!) so, no pull up, but Derek did take us to the plane by cart and with my CC on file, the top off was charged automatically so no requirement to circle back to the FBO. The $40 facility fee was waived and Katelyn made sure we got the weekend $0.50 per gallon discount. Katelyn and Derek took great care to see that we left with a smile.

Stopped in for a fuel stop going from Miami to Van Nuys. I have no complaints. Everyone was great.

I usually go to KEDC, but flew out of KAUS three times in the last week, twice going to Atlantic. It is easy to feel ignored when an FBO is busy, but my last two trips through Atlantic were the very definition of what an FBO should be. Charming CSRs, attentive linemen, beautiful facility (clean crew car). I'll be back.

We normally fly our C182 to the Austin area 3-4 times a year. Normally we fly into HYI. Since out son is closer to AUS and we had to fly commercial this time, thought we would check out the FBO options at AUS. From the time I walked in to the time I left, I could tell that they didn't want the small people there. I asked the young lady at the desk, what the landing fee was, was told for a C182, $40. I then asked what the tie down fee was and was told a hangar could be rented for $100/night. I again asked about tie-down and was ignored, told here is our card if you would like to make a reservation you can do so on line. Nothing was mentioned about buying fuel and paying less as most FBO's do. The front desk was basically rude. I found out later on that AUS has no landing fee. Looks like I will continue, going to Berry Aviation at HYI, great people, who have always been friendly no matter what you are flying.

We went there yesterday night and it was very nice. Line crew is very nice and quick. Facility is clean and beautiful. Recommend it if you go to AUS.
From John Gill on 25-Aug-2015

Stopped there twice over this weekend ferrying pax to the commercial terminal. They were courteous and efficient and had a crew car to borrow. Big airport FBO's are never cheap and they aren't an exception but that is expected. $60 "Facility Fee" for a piston twin is waived with 30gal purchase. They also have $.50/gal off on weekends. Got the same service last year in my old Cessna 206 despite all the bizjets on the ramp. Will continue to use them.
