  Great personnel who really are professionals. Too bad the new crew lounge is simply terrible. Six perfectly awful chairs to sit in which were clearly selected by some who thought they looked cool and comfortable but failed to sit in them to see how bad they really are. No way to nap in them, you just slide out onto the floor. There are three TV's in the crew lounge which are all on the same wall and can be tuned to different channels with conflicting volumes. Not very well thought out. They removed the flight planning computer from the crew lounge and now you have to wait on passengers to finish surfing the net out in the lobby before you do any printing. I appreciate the efforts of the employees but come on Atlantic, if I'm going to be stuck there all day surely you can do better to accommodate the crew.

  Stopped to pick up one pax, didn't shut down, got billed $208 for 3mins of sitting on their ramp! I called signature next door and they said we don't charge you if you don't shut down. I recently got the pleasure of having to spend half a day in this Atlanticís renovated crew lounge. Congratulations, you guys win the award for the worlds most uncomfortable reclining chairs. Pretty sad when your line guy knew about pilots complaining how horrible they are. Girls at the counter are nice and the line guys are friendly, but honestly I can't wait for Million Air to open at Bergstrom!

  As a single engine piston aircraft pilot (SOCATA Trinidad) I seldom fly into the primary airport of the busier Class C airspace. (Many Class C are pretty slow, they don't count.) When going to Austin area I normally use KGTU as it is close to my destination. However, this time KAUS was closer. I must say KAUS was easy to get into and out of with ATC. Atlantic Aviation had everything set up well, they marshalled us in, my car was ready to go, FBO building is really nice. Free coffee etc. People were very nice as well. Yes, fuel is higher than other places and a security fee of $15 was added but all other fees were waived with a small fuel purchase. There are far more jets on the ramp than piston aircraft. For me it seems single engine piston planes are very welcome at KAUS by both ATC and Atlantic FBO. It is more expensive but the location and features may make it the stop for you.

  No real slam on Atlantic, but I think I have made my last trip into Bergstrom. A $30 fee to simply land, pick up passengers, and leave convinces me that the city of Austin simply does not want small planes at AUS. Paying more money to buy fuel at ridiculous prices in order for Atlantic to waive the fee is no solution. Executive is nearby and the folks at the FBO there are friendly. Their fuel is reasonable and it's not that much farther. Goodbye AUS.

  Atlantic does a good job in and out, but they should hold their vendors they use for service more accountable. Echelon car service charged us over 800.00 for a drop-off at Horseshoe Bay. I tried to resolve with the owner but he never returned my call, this looks bad on Atlantic. We are likely to use the other FBO if they continue to use vendors who price gouge because they can.
