I fly into AVP every week and usually buy at least 20 gals each time. I noticed that fuel prices all around the PA/MD area had lowered recently and was happy to see on AirNav.com that First Flight had lowered their fuel as well. So, I ordered more than usual (40 gallons this time) and after they had fueled the aircraft, I was shocked to hear the price was $1.02 MORE per gallon than what is listed on AirNav. Even though I showed them on AirNav that their price was listed as $4.60/gal rather than $5.62/gal, they said AirNav was in error and they would not honor the lower price. I was very disappointed since, as I said, I fly in to AVP weekly and regularly give them my business. I could have purchased fuel at a nearby airport (N79) for $3.74/gal (almost $2/gal cheaper!). Needless to say, I'll be looking elsewhere to buy my fuel. A very disappointed customer! N767SD

Had some engine problems on a recent trip and spent the night at KAVP. The staff at FirstFlight was a HUGE help in getting us back in the air. They were very friendly and helpful, and their mechanic was instrumental in getting us going again. The FBO itself is very nice, with a comfortable lounge and with an available crew car the mall is only 5 minutes up the road if you are in need of supplies or non-vending machine food. Overall these guys are A+!

We landed here (unplanned) due to weather. Staff friendly, helpful. Nice facilities with on-line computer. Tower personnel very helpful, too!

Stayed with this fine FBO for a week while I did some work in the area. Landed on a late afternoon in pouring rain and 400' overcast ceilings and a sick passenger. They were johnny on the spot with umbrellas to get us inside, fuel was reasonable (if you call gas these days reasonable) and was fueled as requested. Parking for a 172 was $4 a day, agreeable given the service that they rendered. OVERALL GRADE: A

Stopped in at AVP to escape the outrageous gas prices at TEB on Wednesday evening (May 2nd). Even later in the evening (8PM), we found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and professional. We enjoyed the coffee, the wireless Internet to catch up on some emails, and the flat-screen TV in the pilot's lounge. Keep up the good work!

During a trip from California to New York last year I flew into First Flight when it was still Tech Aviation. It was an unplanned stop that I made because I threw an alternator belt. My experience at Tech Aviation was outstanding!! The line crew was polite and very helpful. I decided to leave my plane there for a few days while visiting my daughter nearby. While the plane was there, the maintenance staff ordered a replacement belt (and some spares I wanted), installed the new belt, checked the battery, check ran the engine, and called me on my cell phone to let me know that the plane would be ready when I returned. Everything was done as promised and on time. The pricing was fair and everyone was pleasant and professional. They absolutely exceeded expectations and I could not have asked for more. I'll be making the same trip this year and First Flight will definitely be a scheduled stop.

Visited Tech Air on 4-19. Hazleton was NOTAMed closed that morning, and the woman behind the counter at Tech Air was extremely helpful in coordinating transportation for our passengers.
