GREAT airport, SUPER helpful. So much so that their low fuel prices are a secondary reason to stop here! We arrived after hours and they set us up with a loaner car. Drove to town (Top 100 small towns in the USA) and it's wonderful. You MUST eat at JP's off the town square where the owner will make you feel at home. The food there is fantastic and the margaritas by Brandon (we overnighted!) are outstanding as well. The one thing we'll do differently next time, without going into details, is NOT stay at the Super 8. There's another place, the Hawkeye Motel 319-653-7510 with much better ratings.

Always cheap fuel. Haven't refueled at Cedar Rapids in a decade because it can cost $100 more for a small single. Pump always works fine. Unattended.

Crew car procedure was very clearly spelled out and fun to go to a working Midwest town for dinner. Excellent fuel and very clean facility. We didn't see anybody at the airport, but it didn't slow us down. Plenty of space to tie down between the massive spray machines.

Great fuel and awesome service! We stopped on a Sunday evening and had no trouble getting a courtesy car and hotel room. The service was great, fuel cheap and town was cute. It was great to see crop dusters at work too. Thanks! We'll stop by anytime we are near.

Great facilities. Lowest price gas on our trip from New Mexico to Maine. Self service works well. Nobody else at airport, so it might be difficult to just drop in and expect to have transportation to food and lodging. To be fair, this was just a fuel stop for us, so we didn't pursue getting a ride in to town.

I was raised in a town 20 mi or so away. I stop here for fuel & to see my folks when crossing the country. Great fuel price and friendly people. We just stopped there and a gentleman in a pickup stopped by while we were fueling to offer us the courtesy car. Don't count on anyone being at the airport. It's a stop & self serve & use the bathroom place. Watch out for crop dusters. They're in an out and don't use the radio much.

The saying that people are friendlier in the Midwest must have started here. Nice facility, cheap fuel, car to run into town for food. Will be back.

This continues to be our favorite fuel stop! Clean and comfortable facilities with Internet and the lowest priced fuel we've found between Illinois and Wyoming. How I wish this were our home airport!

THE GOOD: The fuel price is great. It was even less than posted on AirNav. Self serve as expected, equipment is very good. THE BAD: Nobody was home! Got there at 1pm on Wednesday, December 1. The building was wide open, thank you. It was very cold outside, so glad I could get in, but nobody there! From comments here, I was hoping to catch lunch someplace. I would have understood if the courtesy car was gone, but no one was there. I stayed in the building for 45 minutes, hoping someone would come back. If the airport is to be unattended and posted here that way it would be ok, but don't plan on getting lunch!

GREAT airport!! Mike was very helpful in using KAWG as our new fuel stop for trips to mid-west in our C-185 and Navajo C/R. Also spoke with Dave who is on airport with maintenance if needed.

We stayed two nights. The first night we used courtesy car. The second night, the car was booked, but the airport manager, Mike, offered to pick us up (at 8:00 on Sat. Night!) and take us to the hotel. He picked us up again on Sunday morning. What a great guy! The facilities are nice, and they have free Internet.
