Good airport with Great service and good fuel prices for our Cessna Caravan.

Flew in to AXH yesterday and had the best FBO experience I've had in years. Denise, Robert and Len made this stopover a real pleasure. Highly recommended! East/West runway can present some interesting crosswind challenges. That being the only exception...This FBO is Pilot Heaven!

From Robert Murray on 24-Aug-2008
Came by yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the professionalism of the staff. Front desk receptionist was pleasant and cheerful. Lineman was professional. Nice facility!

Exceptional FBO. Nice pilot shop. Wireless internet. Rental car on Site. Very friendly people. Highly recommended.

From Jeff Zimmerman on 20-May-2008
Len and his crew are top notch! Friendly and quick service makes this FBO a diamond in the rough!

From Malcolm Donner on 28-Apr-2008
The service at AXH is excellent. The fuel truck is there before you turn off the master switch. Len, the airport manager is always concerned about your flight and how everything's going with your airplane. Good fuel prices also.

Rick and the rest of the guys at the FBO were super helpful when my airplane broke down and had to be hangared for a few days. The made room for her and the hangar is a very reasonable $20/night and first night free with fuel. Rick even drove my car back to Pearland to help me get my plane back to the home base. They went the extra mile. I really appreciate all their help.

I have an airplane based at Houston Southwest and I've been satisfied with everything there. They have an excellent FBO with good fuel prices and very friendly and helpful line people.

I weather diverted from SGR (Sugar Land) due to thunderstorms at the field to Houston Southwest last week and found the lineman Daniel to be extremely helpful. Hangared overnight for free after fuel purchase. The flight school seemed quite busy with a great pilot shop in the FBO. Excellent experience into a less busy airport!

I can only recommend everyone stay far away from this airport. I parked my 172 there for 2 days. I was told since I purchased fuel (30 gallons) that one-day's tie down would be waived. Despite this written on the ticket, I was still charged for 2 days tie down. I started calling the FBO when I left downtown Houston at 5 PM on Friday to let them know I was on the way and to make sure I'd been refueled. No one answered the phone. In the middle of paying my bill, the person working the counter stopped ringing up my credit card to go fuel someone. I mean, we were 30 seconds away from finishing my transaction, but he was willing to leave me standing at the counter for 15 minutes while he pumped fuel. Talk about a negative experience!!

I have landed at AXH twice now and both times had excellent service from the FBO. Good fuel prices for the area. Traffic pattern can get busy at times, so be careful. Also, be careful of the Missouri City towers to the north (2, 000MSL) For some reason I lose my GPS signal anytime I come in over the towers and do not gain it back until on final. Had to land in that nasty X-wind last time, but there are 2 North/South runways within about 10 miles just in case you cant get it down.

From Marty Eckert on 14-Mar-2007
I have based several planes at AXH and have a 182 there now. The FBO staff is excellent. The fuel truck is usually waiting for your prop to stop turning to ask if you need fuel. A free, cold bottle of water awaits for the asking. Fuel prices are competitive and full service to boot. A new airfield lighting system has just been installed replacing a very weak/old system. My aircraft have been in the community hangars for a long time with never a scratch. The only thing that AXH could improve upon is pointing the runway north/south instead of east/west to avoid nasty crosswinds! Thanks, guys. I appreciate it!
