Dropped in to Waycross due to enroute weather issues on 9/19/2011. On announcing approach a friendly voice advised the FBO was about to close and asked if I needed services. I advised I wanted to check on the weather ahead. Voice said he would wait for us on the ramp. Steve met us, kept the building open, provided computer, television with remote, offered access to the crew car and fuel truck as we might need them and left a telephone number for us to call if we needed anything else before he departed for the night. Weather cleared enough to depart a couple of hours later. Steve made a difficult situation bearable with his friendly, professional demeanor. I high recommend this FBO.

Flew in 7/31/2011 enroute from Airventure. Had to put down early due to weather. Was met by prompt and very courteous service. Steve was at the desk and stayed on duty (AFTER HOURS) so that we could stay inside the air conditioned building until the WX picked up. This sort of thing just doesn't happen very often. I would highly recommend dropping in even if it were just to say hello. Steve is the best!

What a great stop. Steve was wonderful, coolest crew car ever (would be even cooler with lights on top). The models hanging from the ceiling are incredible. Just a great all around experience.

Flew into KAYS on 11/15/10 for the final leg of an Angel Flight mission. Was quickly welcomed by the staff and was fueling up before I could even make it inside. Was offered a .30 discount on fuel since it was an Angel Flight. Even without the discount I would recommend to stopping here!!

Weather caused me to get on the ground and KAYS was convenient. What a nice surprise! The fuel truck pulled up before I could get out of the plane. Really nice FBO inside and very friendly and helpful staff. It was hot and the cokes and popcorn helped while I watched the weather on the computers and waited until after 6 PM before deciding I would have to spend the night. Steve still was there and gave me a crew car to use. Frankly, the service was so good I had to look outside to be sure that I had arrived in my M-7 rather than in an executive jet. A great place to stop for fuel or overnight.

Diverted to KAYS enroute from SW FL to WV. Southern hospitality lives here. Greeted by 3 persons. Fueled up at reasonable prices. Used courtesy car to Jerry J's for the best hamburger & freshest fries in a long time. Exchanged Air Race Classic stories as KAYS and KPKB (our base) were 2010 ARC stops. Many thanks to KAYS...Good people.

Stopped in on the busy Sun & Fun weekend. Was met with great fuel service and a discounted rate as well. A room filled with complimentary food items and such for aviators that wanted any was a nice touch for the event. Nice "mom & pop" feel to a very professionally run operation. Will be back! Waycross is an ILS capable airport without a tower to complicate things!

Stopped in at Waycross for food and some fuel. Incredibly friendly folks at this airport, will definitely be returning if in the area again. Highly recommended to stop here to fill your plane, or your stomach! Crew car available, as is popcorn and an antique coke machine. Plenty of delicious eateries in the area.

I'll echo the earlier comments. KAYS is an easy stop. Lineman parked me and topped off the tanks. Good computer access and friendly staff. I'll stop again.

I've got to do an Angel Flt tomorrow, going from TN to FL, and was checking FBOs enroute to see who would help with the fuel. AYS (Steve) was wonderful so I opted to stop there. Unfortunately, I did not get the same result from AND, which would have been more expeditious. Sure makes me appreciate the folks like Steve who do what they can to help us.

Stopped in on my way back from Orlando with my son. The folks could not have been friendlier! Great service and great gas price. Stop here on your way to and from Florida and save $1 a gallon. I will be back.

Stopped by when flying from Asheville, NC to Ft. Lauderdale. Huge airport, small town service, fuel was reasonable and service was impeccable. Offered conference room for our carried lunch and any condiments from the fridge we needed. I highly recommend these guys.

Great stop! Super friendly and helpful folks that let us take the crew car to the hotel for our short overnight. Fueled us promptly and correctly. Even gave us a water bowl for our dog while we had a snack inside on our return trip! Thanks for a great stop (twice)!
