The airport was well maintained. Though unattended, local pilots at the airport went out of their way to greet me and were very friendly and helpful. Self fueling worked fine and prices as advertised on AirNav. Greatly appreciated the "honor system" regarding the courtesy cars - pleasant to feel trusted for a change. Don't forget to make a donation to keep this service going for the next pilot! Wonderful stay at the downtown Arrow Hotel & Suites, an establishment with character and charm. This airport may not be flashy or audacious, but does a great job of serving the general aviation community. Resourcefulness and dedication appears to keep this facility going, and they are doing the task well. Definitely recommend it.

No one there for our fuel stop yesterday, but we expected that. AWESOME fuel prices, and self-serve pump worked like a charm. No weather or internet available (hence my "average" rating).

Great place to spend some time if you are weather challenged trying to get to Omaha. Two courtesy cars available, great gas prices and if you have to spend the night you must stay in the Arrow Hotel downtown...Take a step back to 1928 with 80's upgrades. You will remember this place for years to come.

Stopped in to refuel on Thanksgiving evening. Self-service fuel pump worked well other than the grounding cable reel needs some work. Pilot lounge and facilities were nice.Response from Gary Geiselman, Secretary/Treasurer, Broken Bow Airport Authority Mr. Prust - thanks for the heads up on the grounding cable. I was gone over the Thanksgiving weekend and saw the problem when I returned on Nov 29. The problem has been fixed and the cable reel works now. I called a day ahead and had a hangar waiting for me the next day for only $10 for the night. Great little airport.

Fuel price as advertised. Courtesy car out so we walked about a mile to nice Mexican restaurant. Good clean FBO. Good stop. Nice people.Response from Gary Geiselman, Treasurer Broken Bow Airport Authority Mr. Hollowell - I am sorry our courtesy cars were not available. We have 2 vehicles and rarely are both gone at the same time. However, this must have been one of those occurrences. If you walked to the restaurant near the Livestock Commission Company, you did enjoy a treat. This is a restaurant under recent new management and they make genuine Mexican cuisine and lots of it. Thanks for stopping at KBBW.

Interesting place. Nobody home save a bunch of crop dusters (watch out, most don't have radios) and one charter pilot who showed us the keys to the courtesy car and insisted we had to go try the grill in the hotel. It was pretty good actually. 24 fuel worked fine

Loved Broken Bow, stopped on way to and from Yellowstone - first time, I arrived on weekend - airport offices were closed but courtesy car with keys was available for the taking - left plane overnight outside on the ramp, I returned the car and left the next morning without seeing anyone from the airport - my return trip, also on a weekend, I called in advance and Gary met me and opened up a hangar for me for the night ($10.00) and gave me the key and a courtesy van. 100 percent honor system - great stopover and the Arrow Hotel and its Bon-Fire Grill also are worth stopping for.

Yes, the fuel pump is very easy to use and there are two courtesy cars. HOWEVER, one of the courtesy cars is definitely not a brown Special Edition Reliant K car with alloy rims and the keys in the ignition. And although you may enjoy the ride to dinner at the hotel and frolicking about BBW in this fine automobile, IT IS NOT A COURTESY CAR. But, if you make that mistake, as I did, rest assured that these guys have a great sense of humor about your stealing their car and they probably won't call the cops. :-) See you next trip.

We stopped here for fuel and to spend the night on the way home from Oshkosh. They have two courtesy cars. The fuel pump is in good condition and works just fine. They have a nice facility with clean restrooms. The town is just a couple miles away and has several motels. This was a great place to spend the night.

Stopped in BBW for fuel. Very good price. Absolutely no service but that didn't both me.. I was looking for the price. One point.. The Off/On lever is REALLY hard to turn on. You need to SLAM it pretty hard to get it to turn on.. Response from Gary Geiselman, Secretary/Treasurer, Broken Bow Airport Authority The fuel pump handle is like the gas pumps at your local automobile gas station. Its purpose is to energize the gas pump, zero the meter and begin fueling after the credit card has been approved. The handle is in no way "hard to turn on" and does not require slamming into place to turn on the pump. Approval of the credit card begins the transaction and signals the gas pump to begin dispensing fuel and not until this occurs. BBW continues to have a plethora of air traffic coming and going and using the self-service system with very few problems. Our listing on AirNav does show we are currently unmanned by an onsite FBO so seldom will someone be onsite to assist. Airport Authority board members are the FBO and will gladly come out to assist when needed. Just call the number posted inside the terminal bldg.
