My wife and I flew into Mobile Downtown today and left our aircraft (small single engine) with Signature to go to lunch. They topped the aircraft (11.6 gallons) at my request, and upon my return from lunch, I paid my bill and flew home. I noticed that there is a $31 handling fee on my bill. I called Signature and was advised that the handling fee is for aircraft that do not buy the minimum amount of fuel for their category. My category requires 30 gallons. Just thought I would advise other pilots of this charge, which I think is excessive for two hours on the open ramp. I initially called Signature at Mobile Downtown, and was advised that the charge was valid. I later called Signature at Mobile Regional, and spoke to Agnes and asked what the charges for such a situation were there. She advised that there was no handling fee for light single engine aircraft that purchase 10 gallons or more, and $16 for those that don't. She took it upon herself to get the charges dropped, and I appreciate her good work for a problem not of her making. I believe they originally had my aircraft coded as something larger.

The line and front desk staff at Signature handled the onslaught of over 100 Cirrus aircraft and a few VLJ's in conjunction with the COPA Annual Migration event with aplomb. They even gave me a ride into town when there was a snafu with the event transportation. Great job, folks!

I had a runway excursion incident at BFM. The linesmen at Signature were incredibly responsive and helpful in this trying time. Everyone was completely professional, and pitched in to get the plane back on the runway and towed to the FBO. I could not have asked for a better group of people at BFM, including airport staff. These guys are great, and I cannot express my appreciation sufficiently.

I stopped at BFM recently on 6-/29/12 for two days to visit my sick Mom. Since Signature took over prices have soared. They charged me $42 for two days tie down! Way too much. I won't be back there. Fuel was $7/ gal too. Outrageous. They are trying to drive away the little guys.

I was diverted here for bad weather on June 11th around 2100. The line guys were great and got me in the hangar to keep the plane safe overnight. They gave me the hangar for free, which was great. I had them fuel the plane and because my plane is a Cessna 150, I couldn't purchase the minimum fuel purchase so I was charged a fee that I did not know about until after the fact. Next time I will just fuel elsewhere, but the staff is great here.
