  Flew into BIV on 9/22/10 in a Westwind for one night. Nice facilities but have an issue with landing fee. They charged $35 for landing, $15 for tiedown as well as another $42.75 flowage fee for buying 450 gallons of Jet-A. They have heard about their landing fees before as they have a handout explaining why they have them while most comparable airports do not. I think the fee can partially be explained by the fact they had at least 3 people working in the airport office while the FBO I used at Midway had a total of one office person! If you have to go to the area, the facility and people were very nice but otherwise I'd suggest using Grand Rapids International.

Two of the three personnel in the office location are Charter Service Reps. We choose to unbundle our fees so you can see what you are paying for. The other airport you comment about would have cost at lease 30% more just for the landing.

  Flew in during vacation in our 172. Great Service, friendly lines folk. Had an impromptu picnic at the table while watching the traffic. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great experience!!

  How to make me not come back? Send me a bill for a landing fee when you didn't offer any services 10 days after I landed instead of just being up front and telling me while I was at the airport for 15 minutes waiting out weather and letting me pay it then.

  I fly in to Tulip City often to see my parents, and I am always greeted as a special customer. They will assist my parents when they are awaiting my arrival, with a warm friendly nature and it is greatly appreciated. Really go beyond the term customer service. Obviously have top-notch management.
