Great facility, very clean, large restaurant with great view of runway and outside seating, very reasonable prices. Staff at FBO and rest very friendly and accommodating. Self-service gas was $4.60 this week. Tower has restricted hours closed on weekends.

Spent a week there. The staff was professional and courteous. They brought my rental car out on the tarmac and loaded my bags for me! Fuel is reasonably priced and the terminal was clean and had great old pictures and artifacts. The restaurant looked good, but did not get to try it.

Flew in today at noon to try the new restaurant. As always, the staff was courteous and attentive; the facilities were impressively clean. The restaurant serves delicious food! Good service and good prices. The entire dining room has a view of the runways and of the planes parked right outside. There is also some table’s outdoors.

I base here, the service is always good and friendly. And GOOD NEWS! A new restaurant has opened "Runway 9-27 Air Base Bistro". I tried it out today and it is very good, good food, good service, and friendly. They are open 7-3 daily, and serve breakfast all day, planning to open in the evenings later on. It is owned by the same gent who owns Stanford Inn Bed & Breakfast and Tea Room in Bartow so it should be well managed. The menu says if you overnight in Bartow and want the Inn they will provide transportation! It's in the house used in the movie "My Girl". So come try it out! There is still only one controller in the tower though, 7-3:30 M-F. Hope getting him some help will be the next step!

I fly in a few times a year. Flew in last Friday and as always the FBO staff was attentive and friendly. The terminal and restrooms are always sparkling clean. The little museum has plenty to see.

Flew in for lunch... But the restaurant is CLOSED. New owner wanted. Bummer, one of my favorite places to fly in to eat. Next closest restaurant is 3 miles. No crew car. Still great self service gas prices, friendly FBO, and nice WW2 museum in the terminal building.

Flew in for lunch today with a local flight of 3 airplanes from Venice. Friendly and helpful linemen and a sparkling clean terminal building. The restaurant offered an all-you can-eat buffet of homestyle meatloaf and chicken with all of the side dishes and a salad bar for $7.95. Highly recommended.

Arrived Bartow for Sun N Fun on 3/29/11. As previously experienced, the facility & service was excellent. Again, tie down fees were waived for S N F attendees. That is providing "above and beyond" support for GA. Our airplane was tied down to cables vs hard points, not the best in strong winds. The airplane was turned 90 deg by the wind. The C-172 tied down adjacent broke loose and landed on its top behind our airplane. How it missed our airplane is a miracle. I will always land at Bartow for Sun N Fun.

I flew into Bartow for Sun N Fun this year as I have in the past and cannot say enough good things about this FBO. This FBO is among the best one or two that I have ever used! Despite having no electricity after the severe storm that hit during Sun N Fun and with more storms on the way, everyone at this FBO did whatever they could to accommodate the needs of all of their customers. This is the place to park for Sun N Fun or when traveling to the area in regards to service, facilities, fuel prices, etc. The level of service at this FBO is impressive. Try them out and you won't be disappointed.

We were based at BOW for a week while doing aerial survey work in the area. The FBO facility is new though there is no crew car or on-site car rental. Fuel prices were very competitive. Bill at Aircraft Engineering was helpful in accommodating our work schedule requirements while doing some routine maintenance on our 206. Clearly very knowledgeable and service-oriented. Good to see a busy maintenance shop at a relatively quiet field.

I based at Bartow Flying Service during Sun-N-Fun this year. Despite extremely high winds upon arrival Wednesday, I was marshalled into parking, securely tied down, refueled on the spot, and driven to the FBO where my rental car and a welcome bag full of nice gifts awaited. Thanks for the great service. I'll be back again next year.

Flew in for Lunch and cheap gas. SS gas price was the same as shown on AirNav (great web site by the way). I always wonder where the self-serve pump is so here is the GPS coord 27°56'48.78"N 81°47'1.79"W. Real close to the FBO and restaurant. Service and food at the restaurant was wonderful. Tower was open on Saturday and always very nice job done by them. No landing or ramp fee. Check out their website for pix of the fuel pump and restaurant....

We have a R182 and a Lake 200. We always fly to KBOW for gas and eats. They have the best cheesburger around as we have gone to a lot of flyin resturants. Nice people and service. Tower is closed on weekends for now.

I had the most fun learning to fly with Bartow Flying Service. Wonderful people with great CFI's. Jeff, Rick, Bill and Diana are very wonderful instructors and I would highly recommend to anyone looking learning to fly to try Bartow Flying Service. Best of luck to Diana as she leaves for the military. From the line guys to the office staff, I feel like I have made friends for life. Lots of thanks to Dave in the tower for tolerating my radio ramblings while learning the proper radio procedures. Thanks to everyone for everything you have done.

Flew into Bartow, Tower was nice and polite. Self-serve fuel was easy and a good price. Walked into the FBO to get oil, stood at the counter and waited for the staff to notice I needed help, no "May I help you?" or even a "Hello." I wasn't sure if they worked there or were customers because I saw no uniforms or name tags. Finally got my oil. The museum was very nice, restrooms are spotless, the lineman gave us a ride back to the aircraft, and he was helpful. Overall good FBO but needs some customer service work behind the counter.

We were on the huge ramp from 4/20-4/27, Excellent line service and fuel prices. First class terminal with friendly helpful people, both at the FBO and Enterprise car rental offices. Management as stated by another pilot, waived tie down fees for Sun N Fun attendees. I thought that support for GA was "above and beyond" that which could be expected. I tried to pay TD but was refused. Thanks for your support. Best Wishes..

Our bird (N594LB) stayed here Wed-Sat while we attended SnF. They gave us ball caps and waived all ramp fees for SnF attendees. They also suggested the self-serve pumps rather than push the full serve truck. Thanks BFS.

We flew into Bartow during Sun-n-Fun and it turned out to be a great alternative to Lakeland (if you arrive when LAL is closed for air show).. Great fuel prices too.. Rental car was there waiting and restaurant was OK too (except for breakfast which, unfortunately, was horrible).

Nice airport, Great Tower people, Fantastic new terminal, but FBO seems to lack a little. Best Fuel Prices anywhere Restaurant was closed (Tuesday), no Courtesy Car. Could not believe a towered airport and nicest facility around would not have courtesy car to go get something to eat. Would go back for the fuel any day though.

Incredibly cheap fuel (self-serve available 24/7), and a beautiful FBO building with sparkling bathrooms, flight-planning room, snooze room, and a restaurant! What more could you ask for?
