Terrific line folk. We made a quick fuel stop and away we went. Great assistance and attention. A top-notch facility.

The new terminal building is very nice, and the folks at BFS were very friendly. Great place to stop for a bite to eat and fuel up.

Flew in for Sun-N-Fun AOPA day with my great friend Axel Grau and his son. What a great experience! As soon as we landed, the golf cart was waiting to guide us to our tie down spot and take us to the terminal. They tied us down by the time we deplaned. The new building is very nice and our rental car was ready. Returned at midnight, dropped off the keys at the restaurant and walked out to our mighty Aztec. Great experience and we'll be back!

Bartow has a brand new terminal building with a great little restaurant. A group of 11 pilots from Naples flew there on May 19 to try the restaurant for lunch. The food was good and the staff was very accommodating. One of our pilots broke his glasses and the FBO staff helped him with the repair. I would recommend a stop if you are flying through Florida.

Flew in 9 April 07, the FBO is now located East or left of the tower. No one answered the radio when I landed so lucky for me I parked in front of the terminal and inside was Bartow Flying Service. I flew in and out a few times during the week and everyone is very pleasant with good service. I did get sucked in however with the fuel. They were advertising 3.30 or .40. The day before I was leaving, I showed up to fly and they raised the price 30 cents. I think it was because of all the Sun-N-Fun traffic. If I had only known, I would have topped off the day prior. Oh well! I would certainly utilize Bartow again, very good experience and nice new facility with a restaurant.

Several months ago I stopped in for fuel. The SS pump was inop. I taxied to FBO expecting fuel from the truck to be at SS price, but I was wrong. I had to purchase fuel because I was very low. I have not been back since.

I checked the 100LL price on AirNav this morning around 10AM and found it to be $2.90 as it had been for several days. When I arrived there around noon, the price was $3.20. It is now listed on AirNav as $3.20. My experience otherwise was nominal. Little traffic, pleasant tower communications, normal self serve fueling. They have an attractive new terminal.

New building is very nice and has all the services you would want. Enterprise rental car drops off car at the airport and picks it up from there. (The car they gave us had almost zero fuel. Not the fault of the airport.)

I called by phone notified of my arrival, I radioed in the air. And No ground service on arrival. I parked and shut down. 10 mins later Marge and so-called line guys no ids, uniforms, introductions?? or anything and they were trying to tow my aircraft without my permission and without the proper towbar or anything. Only threats to call the FBI got Marge out of my face and away from my 6 million dollar aircraft. One of those city jobs for life places. Avoid at all risk. She is probably still there bossing pilots around and just wishing she could fly one.

Response from Chris Hendrix, FBO Manager, Bartow Flying Service
Brent, I'm confused - you sent us an email the day after praising the FBO and the service you received.

Chose Bartow because I thought it might be close enough to south Orlando (it wasn't its an hour with the traffic). Also because the gas was cheap (2.90 for self serve).FBO just moved to a new building that is 1/2 mile from the transient line and with self serve in between. The new FBO is not setup yet. We had to wait an hour for a rental car with no place to sit. Crew lounge was full of corporate pilots. Still a cheap gas stop.

No problems here. Although I've always stayed during Sun'n Fun, good service and facility. Never even been charged a tie down. But not sure if that is the year round policy. Some airports waive that during Sun'n Fun.
