For someone who has never been to Chandler, I think transient parking is extremely hard to find. I called ground control, and they directed me to Chandler Air Service unicom. When I called on the unicom frequency, I was vaguely directed to the base of the tower to look for yellow T's... What they really mean by saying that is not yellow T letters next to parking spots (as I had thought) -- they mean park in parking spots outlined BY yellow lines that form a "T" (the rest of the spots on the airport are outlined by white lines). My suggestion: the transient spots could use an explicit "Transient" sign/lettering on the tarmac surface. Tiedowns for singles were $9/night.

Friendly staff in the tower self serve fuel works great and pricing is usually the cheapest in the valley.

Cheapest fuel around. Pump is between the tower and terminal at the fence. ATC very friendly.

Great place to fill up, nice and clean ramp, I save about $1.25 a gallon in comparison to KSDL Scottsdale. I save about $30.00 for each fill up, and try to bring all my fuel needs to Chandler instead of Scottsdale

Though our visit was up on the north side near DVT, filling our B36 Bonanza at CHD saved us more than enough (@$1.25 a gallon) to pay for a rental car for the weekend.

Apparently they have the pump set to shut off at 40 gallons. You go back, you have to reenter your card, but this just tells the machine to print the receipt. Then you reinsert, and nothing happens, because you forgot to turn the pump crank off. Reinsert the card, produces a receipt for 0.1 gallons! Reinsert the card, turn the crank, you're ready to continue filling your tanks. Very frustrating.
Response from Mike Smith, Airport Operations We have increased the pre-authorization amount for fuel transactions at the city self-serve pumps to $250.00. This will allow you to pump more fuel before reaching the transaction limit, based on the pre-authorization amount. If you need more fuel than the system will allow for a single transaction, you will need to reset the yellow pump handle to the down position, and re-insert your card into the card reader. It will then print a receipt for your first transaction. It will then be necessary to insert your card again for another transaction.
