Frank and Annette Setzler of Chandler Aviation are two of the most hospitable and kindest people around. At the 2013 Chandler Airport Dayz, they both made me feel so welcome at the event. Frank's knowledge of the vintage planes on display at the event was truly impressive. Chandler Aviation is a treasured resource at the Chandler Municipal Airport for pilots and aviation enthusiasts alike, and it's important that Chandler Aviation continue to be located right where it is with the Setzlers at the helm.

Be advised that there is now a sign on the self serve pumps that states fuel is not available from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM (I.E. Overnight). Not sure what the reason for that might be. I'll update this comment if it changes.

Stopped yesterday and self service as advertised. Warning: the self-serve pumps (2) are located a down sloping section of the ramp. I pulled in so that another plane could access the other pump. This required pushing the plane back to start and taxi away. It was very much up hill and I required help to push it out of the hole. Next time when I go over there for cheap fuel I'll pull in sideways so I can taxi out.

24/7 self serve pumps. Beautiful terminal building open from airport side 24/7 with very nice pilot lounge, large separate pilot planning room, WIFI throughout and clean nice restrooms. Tower personnel are pleasant and helpful and there are plenty of tie downs for large and small aircraft. Numerous hotels close by.

In for about 2 hours with our N900NE today. Nice lobby area for needs. No Internet service or wireless. However very good food next door, The Hangar Cafe. Response from Doug Whitney, Chandler Municipal Airport

Our visit was brief on Jun 23 and 26, but the staff in the terminal was courteous and helpful. The cold terminal was a nice relief from the heat and the ATC folks were very helpful too. I was not going to get fuel, but the initiative of the fuel truck to come to us and ask was enough to make me buy 10 gal from them, not much but something. Thank to all your staff.

About a year ago, the City of Chandler was taking suggestions about how KCHD could evolve into a better choice field for pilots and during my participation in that discussion I said the number one factor is fuel price that can be determined on this and other websites. Maybe they heard it from others as well. They are now often tied or better priced than the previous best - KCGZ. Great job Chandler.
