Had lunch on several occasions during Chandler AIRPORT DAYZ festivals. The place is always swamped on Festival days, but the staff continues to preserve their friendly demeanor and put out excellent food. Our ShortWing Piper Chapter (AZ/NM) holds monthly meetings there frequently, and we enjoy taking over their second-floor view terrace. I would go there anytime for a fine dining experience.
Stopped at Chandler Muni on our cross-country flight from Louisiana to California on a Sunday. We got some fuel at the self-serve and walked into the cafe for a good lunch before continuing on our trip. It was pretty busy, which I was happy to see for an airport cafe. We sat down at open seats at the counter and perused the lunch menu at 1145am. We tried to order our lunch, but the waitress proclaimed they weren't serving lunch yet. Looking at our watches and verifying the local time (we were flying across time zones) she said, "Yeah, it's 1145, but we have been busy and we won't be serving lunch for at least another half hour." Extremely frustrating and we won't be back. Even paid $5 for two iced teas!!!!!
