Parked my RV at Heli-Prop and met Larry and Liz who were friendly and accommodating. When I need maintenance or fuel at or near COE I know this is where I'll go. Thank you.

Angel Flight West flight with patient who had difficulty walking. Liz & Larry very helpful with golf cart, rental car, etc. And even washed the windshield without a gas purchase. WANT TO SAVE >$1.20/gal? This is the place, plus great service, but barebone amenities. Tiedowns at pump or Heli-Prop hangar (blue across the taxi way).

A pilot friend and myself flew to COE from Montana working on instrument approaches. When we landed at Coeur D'Alene it was a HOT Saturday afternoon and we were looking forward to getting fuel and something cool to drink. After reading the nice comments about Southfield / Heli-Prop, we decided we would give them a try. The self-serve fuel system is very user friendly and a welcome site after dealing with systems at some other airports! After fueling, we taxied over and tied down at Southfield's hangar where we met Liz. She explained to us that the courtesy car had been damaged and was not available, but instead took my friend and I in her own car to town so we could pick up some sandwiches, etc and took us back to the airport. After service like that, I will go out of my way to visit Southfield / Heli-Prop. Thank you!

Liz and Larry have been great! I've been in KCOE for 4 days now and couldn't be any happier with their services. They go out of their way to satisfy my needs. I will be here for 2 or 3 weeks and I'm very glad I went to Southfield Aviation instead of the other one. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

We read about the service and friendliness at Southfield Aviation on AirNav and it was true! Liz was extremely helpful, setting us up with a rental car in no time at all (we just showed up unannounced one day). She was ready with maps of the area and magazines about dining, activities, etc, and recommendations on great dining experiences. Definitely this is a great fly-in destination and Southfield Aviation is a great host.

Sunday Aug 20, 2006: The field was essentially closed except for Heli-Prop. When it became apparent no one was going to pick me up, Liz fixed me up with one of her rental cars and got me on my way despite her hectic schedule that day. When I returned the following Friday I learned there was no tie-down fee when you do it around the SS fuel pumps. Its worth the trip to COE just to deal with Liz & Larry. Try it. You'll like it!

We requested a rental car a week in advance and were greeted with our car and a wonderful woman with all kinds of area knowledge. (I think her name was Liz.) Great service and all that we could need from a very GA friendly FBO! We will certainly use them again when in the area. Thanks!

Stopped on the way to KOSH from Oregon. Fuel cheaper than advertised. Good local info on Idaho backcountry strips from the FBO. Good stop!

From Mark Rogge on 03-Jun-2006
An excellent, excellent FBO. Liz & Larry provided me a courtesy car until the weather improved, kept an eye on my plane while the storms passed through and were ready to help me find a room for the evening. The airport manager's office is next door where you can get the weather and talk with briefer. Southfield's self-serve fuel was $4.15/gal. The other FBO on the field charged ** $5.45/gal **. Southfield is the only one place to go at KCOE.

From Frank Weissig on 10-Apr-2006
Rental cars are not available outside of FBO business hours. Not the FBO's fault (rental company policy), but something to be aware of.

Liz and Larry are really top notch folks. They helped me when my M20K had alternator problems and the work they did at the shop and toward getting me on my way was exceptional! Thank you Larry and Liz! You are awesome folks!
