Great Service, Great Prices, and Great People ... Sometimes you have to take the time to recognize the nice people you meet and here is a perfect example.

!!!WARNING!!! I visited this airport and Page Aviation 11/4/07 and was gouged with a $150.00 ramp fee. I then learned that everyone else only paid $80.00. I fly an Excel and I assume he saw bigger money signs when we pulled up. Go to Carrizo Springs (CZT), not Cotulla; that is unless Page closes his butcher shop and takes it elsewhere. He didn't even stick around so I could haggle with him over the rate.
Response from E. T. Page III, Page Aviation Mr. Rogers' experience is not typical at our airport. To put it in perspective, we average less than ONE ramp fee PER MONTH; the fees are also fair and reasonable. We waive ramp fees with a minimal fuel purchase and do not charge first-time visitors. Mr. Rogers' aircraft was a large jet (Citation Excel) that did not take on any fuel on his first visit or on this, his second visit. On each flight, the aircraft departed from AUS which has much higher fuel prices and ramp fees, so Mr. Rogers must be familiar with this practice and the need for it. I did NOT charge him on the first visit, but did charge for the second visit. The $80 fee he mentioned applies to turboprops; he was charged the same as any other jet. I also fly jets professionally and fully expect to either purchase fuel or pay a ramp fee wherever I travel as a courtesy, even if not a requirement.
