Again and again consistently the best FBO in the Southeast. I travel into small airports all over the SE and Ramp 66 is always without question; the BEST. Rental was planeside before the prop stopped spinning and the line crew helped unload and pack the care. Then we are off to enjoy the Great Grand Stand Beach Area. Departure was just as good as arrival. Thank you to the entire staff and crew at Ramp 66.

Absolutely some of the friendliest ladies I have ever dealt with. Rental easy...Fuel a snap. It's like a family run shop and they are a delight. They take a personal interest and that's rare these days. Will use Ramp 66 for every flight in/out of Grand Strand.

Two visits in the last week (due to fatal car accident, funeral). Cessna Citation II and Cessna 320E. Staff could not be more friendly and helpful - especially Caroline. Truly the best of the best, with very reasonable prices. Rental car ready to go. No fuss, no muss. Great place to stop half way between NY/NJ airports and South Florida. Slide in from Victor 1 airway, gas and go! Keep up the great work!!

As a frequent visitor to CRE, I must say that every time in, the customer service is top notch. Sarah, thank you so much for taking care of me! You went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was taken care of. My passenger is an FBO employee and commented on how thorough you were! Ramp 66 is a benchmark for others.

Was at CRE on our way to get married this past weekend. Upon arrival in Grumman Cheetah we were treated as if we arrived in a Gulfstream V. Very friendly ramp crew that got us fueled and helped with our bags. In no time they had us a cab to the hotel for our overnight stay. We will be back!

Stopped for gas and dinner halfway though a 700nm trip from FL to MD. Nice, spacious clean FBO with a comfy lobby and snooze room. There are several crew cars available, and some excellent restaurants clustered around a lake right outside the airport fence. (Dino's Italian and Greek Restaurant was excellent). Line crew and desk staff is friendly to talk to.

We arrived here on Sunday, March 12th on our way to Orlando. This is a top-notch FBO. We were behind schedule and I was tired from a long flight and various delays. The women at the counter gave the crew car to my wife and daughter to get lunch and ushered me to the pilot's "sleep room" which is far away from the noise of the FBO. I had a good power-nap and when my wife returned with lunch, we ate, the plane was fueled per my specifications exactly and we were on our way. An excellent FBO and I will not hesitate to use them again.

2/18/11 about 8PM, I was enroute to FL and was running behind, I called up on 122.95, and the nice lady at Grand Strand answered right up. I asked her to call my destination and let them know of my new ETA. She took care of my problem lickety split. Now I have to figure out an excuse for stopping in and buying some fuel. This gal really went out of the way for a pilot who was just passing over. Thanks!

We've had occasions to stop at CRE three times over the last 6 months and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. From Randall at the ramp to Charlotte at the desk, these guys work hard to help in every way possible. Call ahead for a car, hotel, or any other service needed and Ramp 66 can work wonders. They have good off-season deals with hotels and can make all aspects of your visit seamless.

I stopped at Ramp 66 on December 28, 2010 enroute from ORL to CPK. Everyone was very courteous and while all I needed was a refuel, it was done quickly and I got a discount for using a Shell Card to pay for the gas. Only negative was that their flight planning computer was not working properly, so I had to use my Ipad when I went back out to the plane to update weather, etc and file an outbound flight plan. In spite of that one issue, I'll definitely use this FBO in the future if my travels are near Myrtle Beach.

On my flight to Florida I developed a MX problem on my Bonanza. It was Saturday and they had to call a mechanic in from home. He arrived and quickly started to work on my plane. Even though he could not fix the problem right away (needed part) he could not have been any more helpful. Way to go Ramp66.

Flew in on a short notice in a C172. Very quiet D class airport. Tower and ground manned by the same controller. Line car met us almost at the edge of the runway. Excellent facilities, clean bathrooms, vending. Older computer in the pilots' lounge with a printer. Fair fuel prices and prompt service. Unfortunately, sparse supply of rental cars. One of the ladies gave us a ride to Thrifty's to get a vehicle. No fee for a day visit; $10 overnight for a single engine. Overall, a very pleasant experience. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in to Grand Strand earlier this year in a C172. Was met at the ramp entrance by a golf cart, which showed me where to park. Usually go to MYR, but was looking for a change. Line tech and CSR were both very friendly and offered me a crew car to go grab some food. I arrived back right at closing time and one of the line techs stood around talking to me on his own free time. Friendly service makes all the difference. The plane had been fueled and I was on the way to my next destination. Will happily return and buy fuel from you guys!

I've been going here for years, and the employees at Ramp 66 are the best! The line guys always bring the car up to the airplane and then help load it up. The gals behind desk are the friendliest you'll find anywhere. There is no landing fee or ramp fee. The overnight fee is very reasonable. The facilities have always been top notch, until the other day when they put in cheap, ugly and smelly vinyl flooring throughout the place. That stuff really stinks. I had to stay outside so I wouldn't get sick of the smell. The color is awful also. I would have given them 5 stars if they hadn't put in that new flooring. I just thought that maybe if enough users say something about that floor, they might change it to something that compliments the FBO.

What a family oriented FBO. I let my 6 year old son fly from the left seat into CRE (barely seeing over the glareshield). The lineman met my son at the left side of the aircraft and treated him as if he was the PIC of the aircraft asking him how long he was staying and if he needed any fuel (treating him like an adult). Great service and friendly people. This FBO is an example of what all FBO's should be like. Thanks!

Overall great FBO with friendly folks and great service. Golf cart "follow me" met us at the taxiway and we parked very near the main building. A big plus about ramp 66 are the several very nice courtesy cars available for free with a fuel purchase. My only issue is that the fuel (100LL) is very expensive. I would have topped off but the price delta between Ramp 66 and my home base is more than $1.50 p/gal...So I took a partial load and thanked them for the use of their car. I suppose we both made out OK:-) Definitely a good place to stop.

I went to CRE for my annual Malibu/Mirage Safety & Training flight & ground school seminar on April 22nd-26th. This Ramp 66 team was very accommodating to our 17 PA-46 aircraft and owners. With all the flight training and aircraft movement even with the bad weather on Sunday, each individual from the line crew to the young ladies behind the counter, all were very professional. Yes, I agree the fuel prices are high and the airport fees and sales tax are disappointing, but these people are doing a great job in-spite of these obstacles. I wish to give a special thanks to Mary, Garrett, Clayton, Carolyn, Glenda, Nikki and the rest of the line crew who's names I can't remember for everything they do "behind the scenes!" I hope that we will be back next year.

Above average service and facilities, and $10/night parking, and great ATC were positives. Very high fuel prices a negative, and resulted in us declining fuel there and making an extra fuel stop to avoid their high fuel prices.

Arrived via Skylane for Easter week at the beach. On short notice, they had a rental car available and brought right to planeside on the ramp. Linecrew secured the plane and counter personnel were extremely polite and prompt. $10 a night tie down plus slightly above-average fuel prices, but the convenience and service make it worthwhile. Tower and ATC both in and out on IFR plans was a breeze. A positive all-around experience.

Spent the weekend of 10/10/09 at Ramp 66. Great FBO. They sent out a Follow Me cart and brought the rental car right to the plane. 100LL at 5.09 a gallon. Ben - there are 2 computers in the weather room there; one was a dedicated terminal (wxworx I think) and the other was just online where you could get on the 'net and check your favorite weather site. Good thing too, because wxworx didn't have any TFR info. Great FBO. Nice people. Say Hi to Glenda when you call.

Grand Strand is hands down the better layover than KMYR. The facilities are nice and you can relax a while in the rocking chairs or practice your putting. The Tower crew is great at managing traffic and has a friendly attitude. If you need some help with anything, they are glad to do it.

RAMP 66 isn't fancy. It doesn't have Internet for pilots. But what it does have is a VERY warm and friendly atmosphere and some very nice people who run the place. Prices are alright and I found it very relaxing to go putting on the "green" and to watch that Bi-Plane come in and out. Its a shame I was in a rush, I could have easily spent another hour just sitting in the rocking chairs watching the banner tows pick up and drop their banners.

This place remains one of my favorite airports and FBOs. Where else can you fly in and look at a 1941 Waco bi-plane that is used for rides while you wait for your fuel order to be filled? Not into that? Try the putting green or grab some popcorn and sit in one of the rockers and watch the banner tow planes drop and pick up their ads. Very cool to watch. Plus, the service is polite, quick and efficient. Kudos, once again to Glenda and the girls. (Oh, and ATC does a nice job getting you in and out too!)

We were trying to decide between this airport and MYR for a five-day stay. After looking at all the positive comments, we picked here. All the other users were correct, this is a good place to stop. Hanger price for a single was $40.00 per night. Rental car was $38.00 per day. We thought both charges were reasonable for the location. Line service and the CSR's were excellent. If you want Internet access, bring your laptop; the computer in the pilot's lounge has seen better days. (Slow)

I fly in several times a year with the family and have had consistent great results. Before I am out of the plane, the rental car is delivered and offered help, to unload the bags. In 10 mins the plane is fueled. When departing, they greet you at the plane again, and help untie it, and unload the bags from the car. The paperwork is ready when you walk into the office. All very helpful when you have little ones running around. Ramp66 is a good operation!

Flew in Saturday afternoon (4/11) and for an overnight stay. They got me parked and fueled and tied the plane down. Last weekend I was involved in a safety seminar with ground school and flight training at CRE. This is the first time the seminar has been held at CRE. Many of us like to bring our wives/copilots to make it a weekend. Although the weather on Thursday our arrival day was ugly a few of us made it in with the rest of us arriving Friday AM before class. The people at Ramp 66 could not have been nicer. On arrival a rental car was brought immediately to the airplane for ease in unloading and the paperwork and tiedown/hangaring was seamless. This group of people were professional, but easygoing and Carolyn overseeing the front desk was attentive and offered suggestions to all my questions. I hope we return to CRE next year for our safety seminar because Myrtle Beach has a lot to offer for golfing, shopping and entertainment and Ramp 66 is a nice, comfortable place to fly into.

Great airport, great FBO. Car pulled up when we parked, bags loaded. They had to move me to park for a couple of days, and they have very nice tug that is electric and lifts the nose wheel. I had to go back to airplane to get my wallet and the line guy had me triple chocked and tied down by the time I got to the plane! I felt like I was in good hands. I didn't catch the guy’s name, but nice job and thanks!
