Quiet runway except for KSAT students shooting T&Gs. Always good gas prices, hose could be longer for twins.

Just a great place to stop and get gas and go into town. The airport facilities are spotless and the people you find there are very friendly and helpful. The airport manager always greets me each time like a long lost friend. I stopped by there a few weeks ago with some visiting german friends and they were in shock at how accomodating the manager was and how friendly the towns people were. I always take guests to KCVB when I'm able. I've never been disappointed.

CHEAP GAS!!! Ramp was spacious and clean with easy access to 100LL SS. Very nice, clean FBO / restroom. Crown Victoria crew car. Friendly management. Excellent find, we will be back!

Nice airport, cheap gas, but only got an answering machine on the phone number given for the courtesy car, and the coke machine ate my money. Went instead to Pleasanton a short hop to the south.

Stopped through CVB on 08/07/2012 in our RV-6X. Even though the quiet ramp and FBO were unattended, (FBO manager was on vacation in Italy), mowing staff and friends hooked us up with the very sprightly Police Interceptor Crown Vic! We quickly located a French Cafe (yes in Castroville) and had a wonderful lunch. We returned lo upload relatively cheap 100LL and get on our way. Gotta love TX hospitality! I'll be baaaack!

Great terminal, and super friendly service. Clif the airport manager rolled out the red carpet for passengers and myself!!! Definitely one of those airports you put of your return to list... Thanks for everything Clif…

Great! I signed the book and said should be a way to get to a restaurant on the weekend. Then I called the posted number and was given instructions how to get a mile or so to Nemo's Seafood. It is very good.

Great facility for a small airport.... Had some problems with Enterprise not delivering rental car as promised (sorry, Greg) but Clif and others at CVB were most helpful. Local sites and eateries are great, as well! Try the Old Alsatian Steakhouse for an upscale meal you won't forget!

I am a flight instructor in the area and I can tell a few things about this airport: great airport manager (Cliff), great AVGAS fuel price, ($4.25 as I write this), great aircraft owners and pilot community, easy access to terminal building at anytime of the day or night, very clean bathrooms, Courtesy car on the field besides quick Enterprise Rental drop off service. Easy taxi from ramp to runway and vice verse. A city of history and interesting historical markers.

Nice facilities, great service. I'd come back anytime. Cliff helped salvage a bad situation. Avis did not drop off my CONFIRMED reservation rental car. Don't believe anything Avis says on their website about dropping cars at KCVB. All they gave me after I arrived were excuses. Summary -- "walkoff grand slam in the bottom of the 9th" for Cliff and the Castroville team. Avis...They're losers. I'll be calling Enterprise in the morning.

I've stopped here on several occasions because it was close to my grandchildren's home. The facilities are well maintained and the fuel has always been very reasonable.

Stopped for fuel enroute Arizona to Florida. Great stop, fuel as posted, easy in and out. Phil, airport manager, very friendly and helpful. Spent 2 days in San Antonio. Highly recommend.

Excellent experience. We arrived Sunday morning departed Monday. Enterprise brought the rental car as requested. The pilot's lounge is very nice and we had no problem entering code to unlock the door and access the computers and restrooms. 100LL is available 24/7 by credit card self-serve pump. Cliff (airport manager) answers his phone and is super helpful if you have ANY questions. This airport is very convenient to San Antonio. A great fuel stop.

Went here for 100LL today and guess what no power!! No fuel due to no electricity. Went to Hondo and got fuel there. I think I will just over fly Castroville and head to Hondo from now on it is only a few cents more.
