I recently flew a Caravan into DQH as a diversion due to weather. When I arrived, the FBO had already closed for the night. I called the on-call number a gentlemen (Ken, I believe) promptly arrived to accommodate our unannounced stop. He gave us full access to the FBO and a crew car if we so desired. We stayed for over an hour to let the weather clear and were very appreciative for the great service we received. Thanks from the crew of N208LS

Stopped here on the way to Ocala, line person was friendly, talked about the restoration shop and EAA chapter on the airport. Asked if he had a pot of coffee on, he said no, but take the van, it has more gas and go 2 blocks to McDonalds, no charge. I will stop here on my way to KOSH for 2012 EAA convention.

Made an unplanned stop here due to weather. I can't say enough nice things about the staff, facilities and the City. They offered us the use of the crew car, and had a great lunch at the Flying Cowboy up the road. Toured the WWII era army air corps training facility (opens Fridays and Saturdays), great little museum and a wonderful tour guide. The C-47 on the field was used on D Day they say. Thunderstorms kept us overnight, Danny's pizza in town is a great local restaurant with atmosphere, and the Holiday Inn Express was clean, spacious and very comfortable. And fuel prices were good too. Many thanks to the City and highly recommend a stop over.

We stopped in on a gas-and-go stop based on the AirNav.Com fuel prices - just as advertised. We were met as we walked into the terminal building, passed our fueling request and it was done ASAP. Even had a cookie jar next to the flight-planning computer! The staff offered a ride to town, the crew car or a ride to the museum - none of which we could take advantage of on this time through. It was a great quick stop and we were on our way. Thanks!

Conducted business in Douglas --- FBO crew was great. Arranged for loaner auto in advance. Everything ready and waiting. Fabulous photos and memorabilia of WWII. Wonderful to see the DC 6 and C47 on the field!

True Southern Hospitality. Everywhere in Douglas! I had a sudden total electrical failure en route from SFB to STL in a C-172. Landed at Douglas, nearest to my f/path. Very helpful FBO staff - put me in touch with repair facility on the field (Bob Harless - he and his guys dropped EVERYTHING to deal with my problems, even with a hangar full of other jobs). Needed to wait for parts so had to stay overnight. At the FBO, Stan and his office manager (regret cannot recall her name now) let me use the courtesy vehicle for 24 HOURS!!! So my stay in Douglas was mobile and very enjoyable. The Holiday Inn Express not only gave me an extra discount but also a delightful upgraded room (thanks Toni & LaDonna). Harless Aviation went above and beyond to get me back in the air early next day. It doesn't get any better than this. True Southern Hospitality and genuine kindness. I was going to re-fuel at another airport, but I'll always stop here on this route in future. Many, many thanks.

I used it on my way to Ft. Lauderdale. A nice little place to overnight. There are several hotels about a half-mile away and they have a crew car to use if you don't want to walk. A new terminal building and plenty of tie-downs. All this with cheap fuel.

Wow is all I can say. We got into a little bit of a pickle and John & Ken made the best of a pretty ___ day. They have SS prices but offer FS. More places to eat and sleep then most FBO's plus a big Wal-Mart for those hard to find plane parts. Super nice & clean FBO, WWII airplane's to look at while getting work done. Best recliners I've seen in a while, where did you get those from? Thanks for all the help, it was appreciated. And if you need an off airport site to land ask where Smitty lives.

Stopped by to see a friend who is restoring a great vintage WWII plane. The kind folks at the FBO answered our call for a fill-up before we had even hung up the phone, (seriously!) and a nearby motel gave us a ridiculously low rate due to the connection with the restoration project. There's a sad C-150 "staged" to look like a wreck at the road intersection. Other than that, a great place to stop.
