Flew in for a couple days stay. Very friendly FBO, great linemen. Rental car was ready to go on arrival. Will try them out again next month, but was very happy with our last visit.

I have flown into Durango multiple times a year for many years with my Bonanza and have utilized both airports and their respective FBOs with great satisfaction, but the service I received today from Avflight was exceptional! Charlie Johnson has taken great care of me in the past, but his personalized service this time was over the top. I had asked to have the engine heater plugged in the day prior to my departure on January 3rd. My plans changed and when I called to notify Avflight that we would be departing a day early, Charlie not only had moved the airplane from the hangar overnight, but he had it repositioned on the ramp and plugged in three hours prior to my arrival. The tanks we topped as requested and the ramp fee waived due to my fuel purchase. Judy and Erica in the office handled my requests and passed them on to the line perfectly. One of my best FBO experiences in almost two decades of flying!

I have landed at every mountain airport in Colorado. I would have given Avflight a five star rating if it were not for their excessive ramp fees for a quick turn, summer stop. The vast majority of mountain airports don't charge any ramp fees for a quick turn. Even at places like DRO that have high gas prices, I try to buy some courtesy gas. Because I was heavy with passengers and luggage, I could not do so at DRO this time. As is my normal practice, I tipped the lineman well for his help, and then was shocked to find out I was being asked to pay $60 for 20 min on their ramp in a piston twin. They try to compare themselves to Aspen, but they are certainly not an Aspen in terms of either facilities or distance to the ski area. This is a nice, clean FBO, but in terms of access to a ski area, they are much more comparable to Montrose or Pagosa Springs, neither of which have such excessive fees. See my comments on PSO 34nm to the east and an easy drive to Wolf Creek; most snow in CO!

We picked up our two friends, turned around and flew out with no overnight stay and they charged us $60 (!!!) for less than 15 minutes on the tarmac. Outrageous!

Stopped in Durango for several days of vacationing. All services were excellent, as advertised, prompt and well done by courteous staff. The facilities were clean, and up to date. The FBO manager took personal interest in the services being provided. I highly recommend this FBO.

I had a strange thing occur during my visit. On my way to Durango, I started with very full tanks and burned 134 gallons getting there in my Citation Mustang. Prior to departure, I called in an order to top the tanks and when I arrived, I discovered a bill for 160 gallons. Whoa! Even accounting for the fuel vents, there was absolutely no way that there was room for another 26 gallons in that airplane! (My previous top off was "to the lip" in the first place.) Everyone seemed sincere that the readings from the meters were accurate. To make up for it, they offered a small discount and to waive parking and handling fees. I know that my gauges are very accurate so either someone is draining fuel from parked airplanes or the truck gauges need to be checked. Everyone was very attentive, the facility is nice and they offered great service but this incident coupled with exceptionally high fuel prices cast a shadow over my experience.

These guys rock! I had my plane at "the other airport (00C)" and was prepping for an early morning departure. I went to add oil and realized the quart I thought I had in the back was actually empty. The FBO at 00C was closed and it was close to closing time at Avflight. I called and they took my credit card info over the phone and met me at a nearby gas station with the oil. This is service above and beyond! Next time I am in Durango I will be stopping here. Thanks again.

Great service. Car brought to plane, nice facility. They called a mechanic to help out with a missing oxygen fitting and he came in five minutes and found a way to get my system working, and refused any cash for helping out. Great place.

I flew into KDRO a few weeks ago on a puppy rescue flight. The staff was professional as well as the management. When they heard I was on a charity flight, they waived the ramp fee and gave me the discounted price on fuel. GREAT People here! I will definitely be back. Thanks guys!

My wife and I fly into DRO a couple times a month. Since Avflight took over, the quality of service and attention to detail is now outstanding. Tammi, Erica, Shannon, Charlie, and the rest of the staff are welcoming and helpful each time we fly in. We're glad Avflight is there!

We arrived on Saturday, November 6th, and the Avflight service and employees were great. We were greeted at the tie down and asked whether we had a rental car waiting or needed them to call a hotel. They helped carry the bags inside the lounge and called the hotel we were staying at and requested the shuttle van. They even followed up with another call when the van was a little late. While we were waiting on the van to arrive, we enjoyed some good coffee and pleasant conversation with the employees and other pilots.

My wife and I planned a trip to Durango for the 25th thru the 29th of August. We got a late start out of PHX and landed at DRO just past sunset. We notified Avflight we were coming and they were waiting for us when we landed. The crew was exceptional and friendly, tied down the aircraft and helped us load our baggage into the rental SUV. Since we bought fuel, they waived the tie down fee. Upon our return, the aircraft was fueled and ready to go. I checked in with flight service in the Pilots lounge on the 2nd floor, very nice facilities! They helped unload the SUV and handled getting the rental back to Avis on our departure. Excellent Service, thanks guys, see you next time!

My wife and I flew into DRO for the Labor Day weekend. The line crew was great and got our rental car to the plane before we could get our gear out. All the staff was great and genuinely friendly. We decided to leave in the early morning 2 days later. Got to the airport at 6:00 and was happy to see the FBO open for business! Nice facilities. Great people. Can't wait to visit again.

All of the employees at Avflight could not have been nicer. My wife and I few into Durango for a 2 day visit with our Daughter. After one parked us another came out to take and immediately fill our fuel order. Another took our O2 bottle and had it filled within 10 minutes. They made a call to National for our car to be brought down. After waiting an hour and no National rent-a-car they drove us down to the terminal. I learned my lesson...Avflight told me to always call them in advance so they can contact the rental car company and have it waiting. The desks at the rental car companies get busy when the commercial flights arrive.

My buddies and I headed to Durango on a whim... Made no prior arrangements etc. The staff was awesome! They helped us with all the usual... And also managed to get us a car (on a day that the rental place was all but out of cars) and we were only charged the crew fee of $10 for the car. They helped with places to stay for a reasonable fee etc. All in all a great place to visit. We'll be back!

Watch renting cars from AvFlight! Have been flying into DRO for 10 years or more and always park at the Jet Center-AvFlight. Always have rented cars thru them and usually with Enterprise. In Feb 09 a 1 week rental cost $414. This year they charged me $845!!1 week same class of vehicle. Was told by Enterprise that AvFlight signed a new contract with them and these are the rates! In Jan this year in Salt Lake a 1-week rental of the same class vehicle (std SUV) at Enterprise cost $376 so what's with DRO? Enterprise (in DRO) said that if we had reserved the car directly with them, the cost would have been a little over $500. I have brought this to the attention of the FBO and they are looking into it. Meanwhile, be careful renting thru the FBO. As far as all other services from this FBO, we have always been impressed with their services and the quality of their staff. Always enjoy our visits and the current issue appears to be more with Enterprise-although the FBO should get it corrected.

We arrived on Thursday with plans to depart Sunday (great skiing)...Unpredictable weather caused a change in plans. The service was great as they arranged for us to extend our rental car as they completed the tie-down and top off for our next attempt on Tuesday. I read the other "poor service" comments & I am quiet surprised, as our experience was GREAT!... We have been coming to Durango for twenty years and have always had great service from all operators...Maybe some pilots are the source of any discontent.

Flew in on 1/14/09 line service was excellent, but counter help was less than desired. Needed to print a flight plan, the planning room printer was out of ink, Counter help basically said too bad, when asked about using their counter printer, response was sorry can't help you. I will not be returning.

AvFlight has reversed the bad rap the previous FBO had. Now is very friendly and helpful. Have been going to DRO for 10 years. They are now small GA friendly. They can set you up with good crew rates at the BW Rio Grande Inn and the hotel will come get you. No need for a car. The ramp is re-surfaced and now has 3 point tie down!

Great to see a new FBO - Avflight at DRO. Be aware however of the $40.00 "handling fee" that will be charged if you do not purchase fuel. Unfortunately, our credit card was "on file" and we were not made aware of this charge since the new ownership had changed. You must purchase fuel (20-gal) for our Seneca which was over $5.00/gal in order to waive the charge. Got the surprise on our credit card statement. No problem with this as long as they let you know. We're still working on getting this charge reversed after 3-weeks and many phone conversations with Todd. Animas Airpark may be a much better and more affordable option for many depending on the route this FBO takes in the future. Unfortunately, this practice reminded us of landing in Las Vegas McCarran.

Second time into Durango. First time with Avflight. For just taking the place over recently, Avflight has done a great job of turning the facility into a first class operation. Lots of new equipment and a brand new ramp are just some of the things that got our attention, not to mention the helpful staff. Good to see management working in the field side by side with their crew. FBO's like this make our job so much easier. Thanks guys.
